  1. its nice to see something different for once. i bet its still pretty loud even though theyre sealed and in a soft top

i looked at your "build" thread a while back and have been waiting on some videos. thanks for posting one up!

Thank you...The (something different) is the reason I'm building it...I have an 01 Jeep Cherokee and a 02 Ford Explorer sitting in the garage that would have been much more (the in thing)...But there are alot of them floating around....How many soft top Jeep Wranglers have you ever seen with a Wall of 5 15's...My plan in the end is to bassrace over a 150...Maybe I can maybe I can't...We shall see....
  2. well im about to turn 38 in August here and i been messin with any speaker i could since i wasnt even old enough to drive - so i totally feel you! OH and i really feel those Coustic 560's, i had ALL the Power-Logic amps back then! Those were the SHIZ in those days!!

oh and come to cali anytime, im down! Ill even let you drive it, if you have at least a permit LMAO!

Well I'll be 39 Aug 3rd.So happy early B-Day to you...Don't have any 560's left but I do have an old 460...Running the 5 15"s in my Wrangler off it right now...Not liking the 1.3 ohm bridged load on it though http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif
  3. steve hands down you are the coolest person out there in the car audio world. You love your fans and help them to your fullest. Thank you.

I don't say things about what people do or say on the this forum or any other for that matter.I'm 38 years old and have been into car audio for over 20 years.Had my first "Ground Pounder" back in 1988.(16 super blue 10" in a blow through in a Ford Ranger)ran off two old school Coustic 560's)I've Met and been around alot of people in the audio game over those years. But I will say that was the coolest thing I've seen anybody do....Steve you are a class act man.I hope to meet you someday and shake your hand...And to hear the hoe of course :good:
  4. wrangler that loud??? WOW i gotta see that...fuckin awesome!!!

(hope your not joking) ill feel like a dumbass haha

Nope, not joking.I burped a 139 last year down there (no-wall) on Sat with 1 cheap spl 15 on 900 watts.Broke the basket on the sub during the run.Left and went home and did not run sunday.Never had it on a meter before that day...No testing......Am running 5 15's walled now on 5k rms.It will be there for the show.Just not sure what amp or amps it will have in it
  5. Building a box for a buddy for 2 BTL 18's.We have 17 cubes net......The subs will be run off Memphis Mojo 4k...Question I have is.We are looking to tune to 32hz.The port will be 12x12 at 6.5 inch's long.Does this sound right to everybody????The port is alittle on the small side. But will this work o.k.???If not what do I need to change.Been into car audio a long time(over 20 years) and had a pretty good street 3-4 db drag car back in 2000...Just never messed with subs this big...
