  1. What do you guys think of this: http://techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction...4&aff=72182 I watched a video on youtube and it looked like it was bumping pretty hard (not ridiculous but you know what i mean). im just looking for a "starter" setup that has a decent amount of bang for the buck. if anyone knows of any better deals on subs + prefab boxes that would be great! thanks, this forum is a big help to me.
  2. I don't see any clipping, looking at it now in audacity. Why do you say it's clipped? At least by following the directions in your "how to tell if a song is clipped" topic, that's the conclusion that I come to.
  3. Anyone listen? His flow is ridiculous.
  4. It's only 5 songs but they're all really good ones. Please leave comments on the page. Note that the video's title is completely irrelevant because I had to circumvent anti-copyright violation stuff.
  5. Anyone listened to this one yet? "Chopped and Screwed" has a pretty smackin' bass line.
  6. Alright, another question! How will sound quality be if I have a sedan and I put the subs in the trunk?
  7. I see. Well I might be able to get a few friends together and wire it up. That would be cool.
  8. Thanks for the advice folks. Now for another quesiton lol: I know that a lot of you probably hate on the stores like Best Buy or Circuit City when it comes to installing equipment. But honestly, being 16 years old and all, I don't really think I have the experience to do it myself. If I buy a sub/box/amp combo (which I might), and take it to one of these stores, can they install it properly? Or do I have to buy the equipment directly from them?
  9. Of course anything can bump. I was just asking of your opinion? People might have different ideas of what bumpin is.
  10. Nice. Oh, and how would a bandpass box affect my sound? I don't really get what it is...
  11. How many combined subwoofer inches does one need before, in your opinion, things really start bumpin? I'm thinking of starting out small, maybe some 8, 10, or 12 inch subwoofers. Would an 8 inch really bump? How much do you need before the car really starts shakin?
  12. Yeah, I was thinking, could there be a way to some computer speakers through the cigarette outlet or something?
  13. I drive a Subaru Legacy Wagon. And sorry, but I really have no idea on the other numbers. Even the most general figure would be appreciated. 500W? 1000W? 2000W???
  14. Also, when I am able to buy subs, how many watts would a stock alternator typically power?
  15. They are stock speakers. And thanks for the above ideas. Are there any do-it-yourself tutorials for doing such things on the web?
  16. Hey guys, I have a Subaru Legacy Wagon from about 2004. I want some bass on my songs, but unfortunately, I'm not currently in a position to purchase subwoofers. The bass is decent as is, although it's not very satisfying. Are there any ways to boost the strength of the bass without subwoofers? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I sometimes hear a slight rattling sound when the volume gets up high enough. Are these the doors / other parts of the car rattling, or are the speakers going? Thanks.
  17. Alright, just put another one up. I think its better. Make sure to turn your volume up.
  18. I figured I may as well make my own song if I want to test my bass. In addition to having powerful bass notes at 40, 50, and 70 mhz, this song, which I call "Fatty" has a nice string background so that you're not just listening to pure bass. http://www.myspace.com/theslaphouse It's the only song. Comments are welcome.
  19. Yeah, I wouldn't want to mess things up the first time. Maybe for my second setup I could do it myself.
  20. Cool, thanks for the tips. What would happen if the subwoofers aren't getting sufficient power? Also, at what combination of subwoofers do you think I could do hairtricks?
  21. No, I didn't have any particular 15's in mind. What would you consider the best "bang-for-your-buck" 15 incher?
  22. Cool, and now another question, because I'm basically a newbie in this whole subwoofer world. How hard would it be to get, say, two 15's installed? I have a Subaru Legacy Wagon so it has plenty of room in the trunk. Could I just get like Best Buy or whoever to do it?
  23. Firstly, I'd like to express my appreciation of Meade and his systems. I've been watching Meade's videos these past few weeks, and they are ridiculous! I showed the "hairtrick" one to my classmates and they were going crazy! Mad props to you, my man; you know how to get it done. But now a question to the man himself: After listening to all those tunes at 140-150 dB, are you going deaf? Certainly it must have hurt your hearing somewhat.
