just got a question here. a buddy of mine gave me 5 batteries. they are gel batteries sitting at 14.0 some volts or less..they been sitting here since october and never use them. but i taught they were car batteries but i found out they are for batts for wheel chairs..FTL!!!...but i was like what the hell ll give them i try in the car and next thing you know they worked great on my car. i dont know if its a bad thing to do this since they are for wheel chairs..let me know!..if people are interested in these let me know..thanks!..

there are some good points coming out.
i personally downsized from four 12's in proper space, to the 15" i have now, and is it as loud? no, is it more convenient to me? yes. it's nice having room in the trunk
imo if you wanted those two 10's to get louder, it's definitely possible.
if you have your 15" box all built up why change?

to spray painting my face with flourecsent pait lol, it came off easy thank god, i dont remember it really haha

but u said its 14" tall.... so 14-2.25 = 11.75
when u know ur lengths let me know, lol?!?
the inner dimensions of the port are 12.5" tall, 3.5" wide.
the full length of the port on the innerside is 11"

it might be ugly but u can extend ur port still if u know u way around a router and jig saw
i was thinking either squeeze it in through the sub opening or sell it and rebuild hah. but it's good enough for now, whatever hah
how long would i need to extend it to get it around 36-37

so i'm not gonna lie i got kinda lost where decaf is talking about the different port pieces and the sub displ.
in the top left i put 0 for sub displacement and it was still super close, also the port is 12.5" long, 11" tall i screwed that up in my first post...
mah bad
i'm still lost on this hah
fixed it and got it at 40hz hah slowly but surely finding my errors

the RE calc is known to not be very accurate. putting those dimensions in my calculator, i came up with around 43 hz myself.
and to take screen shots, press the PrtScn (print screen) button on the top right of your keyboard. then open paint, paste it there, resize or crop if you need/want, then save it and upload it to photobucket or wherever you put your pics
EDIT: ^what he said, tho i think 7 hz is a BIG difference between the two. i did see someone tho put their total length in the port in the 'length 2' box which told the RE calc that the port was that long, plus the length of whatever the box was. so it made it super long.
its the 15" lvl 4
i have sub displacement at .15" but i also set it to 0 and didn't change to much, i'll take screen shots
but fawk, 44hz is a little high for my likings and it's a badass box... hah
and for the re calculator, just put 0 for second port length or whatever, the 11 inches is in the first part

i built a box using the re box calculator tuned to 37.6hz.
i just re-checked my work here

both have the same dimensions and they both say the same 'box volume' but tuning is off...
