if you went ported you can build a rectangular box with a slot port which the internet has many of... unless your dead set on going sealed
-
2 12's is roughly 189.970 sq inches...
3 10's is roughly 190.755 sq inches...
and...
4 8's is roughly 153.860 sq inches...
so either 2 12's or 3 10's are pretty close to each other... hope this was of some assistance to your final decision...

The *** trash does look pretty sweet...
my 2 cents would be Fi Q, i have one, i like it and it handles the lows real well if put in a properly built box for it..
-
get some sine sweeps and do some and try and listen to where it peaks idk? you can probably estimate it's tuning by that..
-
camera + bass = shitty lol, but naw it looks nice, i wouldn't mind doing somethingl ike that in my 96 blazer..
-
This year I may be going back to 2 12's and i was wondering your guys opinion on how i should place it...
subs and port back...
or subs up and port back?
any other suggestions people have go ahead and feel free to throw em out there...
-
haha, that's cool

tuned to 33-37Hz?? There is only one tuning frequency for a bass reflex.
who said anything about a bass reflex enclosure?
-
lol i wonder what that dude was thinking when you told him to put his head in your window that made him run away
-
what kind of 12's and what kind of a box?
-
and if all that advice still doesn't make much sense, if you give me some dimensions to work with i might be able to draw something up in my spare time
-
lol yeah this is pretty straight forward,
could be real informative to anyone building a box for their first time,
looks good
-
lol yeah but after you read it a few times and get the hang of it it starts to make sense
95.985 sq. inches of port 106 inches long is how i would sum it all up
-
designing and building a tline is relatively easy, you find your port length, max dimensions, and how big of a port you need and go from there.
1130/32 = 35.3125/4 = 8.828125*12 = 105.9375 so your port length would have to be around 106 inches in length if you decide to tune it to the fs of your speaker which is 32hz
and since i don't see the sd of your speaker you'd have to design your t-line off of the actual cone area of a 12" driver which is 94.985 sq. inches
so your t-line enclosure would have to have a port area of 94.985 sq. inches (can be rounded slightly for easier measuring purposes) around 106 inches long
if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask, there's a lot of t-line bass heads running around here on this site so either myself or anyone else experienced with t-lines can help you out.

go for it! and whatever you decide to do, post pictures!
-
t-line are great for sound quality and they can really handle the lows with more clarity then an average vented enclosure, if you can fit one in your tuck which i'm almost positive you could, i would go for it
but then again are you going to be competing, would you rather have more sound quality or spl, etc. etc. these are things to think about but if not then yeah a t-line would be good
and another thing you need to check the specs on your sub, your Qts should be .40 and lower, and Qms 7 and lower, least these are the PREFERRED specs for a tline woofer, doesn't necessarily mean they wont' work if they are slightly over.

roscoe said you were working on these alts today, looks good, mad props, mad jealous lol.
-
always glad to see another person tackle the t-line challenge, can't wait to see this.. usually i'm all over these t-lines forums but it's been a while since i've gotten online but yeah you'd be fine with those specs and cliff drew you a good design that i think you'll be pleased with.
-
i wonder who ordered this one, cause i sure as the hell want one
-
you ought to just build a monsterous box and keep all the speakers together instead of separating them.

OH MAN THAT FIRST VIDEO IS HELLA FUNNY!

seems like this design would take up a lot more space instead of a small, petite sealed box....
