    well first off i broke my hand in a fight at my apartments. i was actually trying to break it up and some guy swung at me so i had to swing back a couple times to teach him a lesson. This all happened last friday night while i was sober and had a 102 temp. had 2 quiz's and a test that i did well in but still was stress full being sick and having a broken hand and this friday someone stole my iphone out of my girlfriends sorority house! the f@$# up part is that one of my fraternity brothers brought one of his "smoke buddies" over that night that no one knew and he had an iphone with a busted screen...hmmm wonder where that f#@!er is now?

    I just installed 2 L5 15s dual 2. I use to have 2 CVR 12s and the L5s are just as loud if not softer. Both were in put in enclosures made be me.

    Here are my box specs for the L5s

    11.5 cu ft.

    35 hz

    and (this is wha might have gone wrong) the port dimensions are 11x11x14. I think that comes out to 141 sq inches of port area, is this close or how off am i?

    Is the port too big or am i just no allowing enough time for the subs to be worn in? If you guys need anymore information about the subs just let me know. Thanks in advance. :hi:

    What kind of amp are you running? Box sounds a little big for two l5's

    Thanks everyone for all the feedback i appreciate it I love all three even though i have only heard sundowns and fi's i know just from everyone talking about dc on the forum that they are a great company as well. when push comes to shove i think i am going to go with my sundown boys since there are a lot around me and i have been in a couple cars with nightshades.

    Vince you will be fine if you run a Nightshade off of that amount of power. On music I'm not putting much more than 1400 watts to each of mine and well you've heard the car. I change a couple of things for a burp and that's why I make quite a bit more power, but I don't need all that for music.

    The only issue really is price. The Nightshade is 2X the woofer of the Level 4 and the Bl so it's obviously going to cost a bit more. It's just not really fair to put the other two in the category with it unless they were close in performance.

    Email Jacob @ [email protected] and talk to him about buying a sub directly from him. You may be able to save a little bit of money that way and get what you want. On the other hand if you wanted to save a few bucks and still get a badass woofer you could get a Z15. Jacob is blowing out the stock that he has right now so you may be able to get a very good deal. Not to mention that a Z15 is more at the same level as a Bl and Level 4, but I'd still be willing to bet that it is a tad better due to my bias

    Alright zack i think you sold me haha I have been in love with the nightshade ever since i sat in your car and DJ's truck. I would like to find something on the cheaper side but I think I should just wait a little while and talk to jacob after i rebuild the jeeps axle.

    Alright so I am kind of in the market for a new sub but i am not to sure what kind of power i need to be looking for. In other words if i am putting some where between 1000-1300 watts to a sub should i go with a subwoofer that rms's at 1000 or around 1500 and evenchually step my amp up to the subwoofer.

    I would be running a Memphis MCD1000 that is 1100w at 1 ohm but i have heard it puts down around 1300

    I would be using this as a daily driver but i will not be going easy on it haha i know all of these go low but i want something that really likes the lows

    Anyway these are the drivers that i am jumping back and forth with and i would love some help one picking the right one out for my setup.

    1.Sundown Nightshade

    2.DC lvl 4

    3.Fi BL
