Very nice, congrats!

Hey folks
I've been looking for a panel for some time now, so I found this rust bucket and will be working on it during the winter. Tapped horn it is, same design as my stolen 88 E150 was supposed to get.
The goal is 160dB+ on music, low frequency.

Do you still have an Astro or its burnt down? ahaha.
look for Pete's NW build on termpro forum, he got pretty loud with relatively low power on 2x15's if I'm not mistaken. If I were to use an astro I'd do 4x 12's

I'd stay on 12V for daily/bass race.

Could it be a short circuit protection? Push your subs manually and check for any related problems?
-
That is a nice testing from Don,
The efficiency should be a tad over eighty percent at high power.

Awesome!
You might want to series each 2 subs and then connect 3 sets of 3.6 ohm (each 2 subs in series) in parallel. Big arrays of subs in series sometimes affect the damping of the connection, depending on the box and subs.

Oh sure man!!!
Hope you have the system playing loud again! looking forward to listen it!

Again great job great amps!!!!
Greg is so funny, I couldn't stop laughing.
Lets choose a show so we can all attend and rock!

by class...
Team SD - Street B -159.6dB
Score OK, a bit sad because I was without the neo subs, but, these things happens. And, no, the trophy didn't fit on the car, haha.
Team Custom Dale - Street C - 157.5dB
Awesome!! One of the nicest guys I've met around here, too bad we didn't have enough linking cable to put all the 4 amps and had to play with 2 amps at 1 ohm each (burping close to 4 ohms). Very good score, we are really proud of you Dale!
Team ICE - SSNW - 158.6dB
Very nice score, Kevin! Second place on the first season, this car has lots of potential for next season, and it looks amazing BTW.
Team Rip Rock - Ext 2 - 180.8dB
I don't even know what to say about Mike and Mark, well, if you want a definition about "true d drag competitor", it is "Team Rip Rock". The car is amazing and those guys will be forever on our memories, their first World Championship is ALSO OUR FIRST!!!
Craig Butler - Ext 5+ - 181.1dB
Amazing car, is the extreme burp machine. Despite the problem with the HU we were having during all the weekend, it still broke all records on USACI and using the B&K mic as well. We still don't know all the records Craig did this year, we need to count, hehe.
--------------------------
We are very happy, even with all the economical problems and finals location being far from our competitor base, we made it!
Thanks for all that came and for all that talked to me and couldn't make it, remember we are a family, we help each other, for next finals we want you all!
Our dream is having very strong cars for all classes, and we will make it, it is just a matter of time.
------------------------
Thanks to all who talked to me and I simply can't put all names here, because I barely know 50% of them, I'm still recovering my voice.
:appl:

According to some folks watching( as I wasnt there ) craig blew up to 5 amps. Several on 1 run.
I'm also told that 3-5 amps blew in Brazil as well.
Don't take this as me bashing SD or anything like that. I'm sure other companies that were represented also lost equipment. Thats the nature of the beast.
Hell Mike R (Perillos van) roasted the whole truck amps subs done
WHAT????
Who told you that???
none of the 22 SD amps used at finals broke, I just replaced almost all amps at Craigs van because at that time we didn't know that the problem was on the deck negative, it had 100ohms and was making the amps go to protect, grounding replaced and amps working fine.
Sundown X-10 / X-15 / X-18 Prototypes Here
