After installing the center ch in the Explorer I am wondering WHY? this does NOT come standard in all Cars/Trucks/Suvs???
the Front-Staging is AMAZING ( Clean Clear & Loud ) and I am hearing things I never did with just the 2way setup...
the Armrest is pulling MIDBASS duty, the Headreat ( sunglass holder ) is pulling MidHigh Duty, the doors are pulling the Mids & Tweeter duty!
might go a step futher & build a 10" MidBass ( Sealed ) or modd them into the rear doors...!!!

Yess I drive a 2000 Ford Explorer, and Love it as a Daily driver! ! 18" and 2x SAZ 3000d / Beating down the block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as for More speakers ?!?!?!?!?! I have to beef up the front stage as i am weak from 80Hz/360Hz ( Mid / MidBass )
just having fun and learnning new things

It's cool that you did something out of the ordinary with otherwise useless equipment, but I really don't understand the benefit of placing a midbass driver in your console.
At least you had a good time...
Im fireing the MidBass out of Phase and adding 2x Mids in the headrest to add more Upper Mids as the Center Ch, to keep up with the 2x 18" subs going in this comming weekend.
also adding a 3way front stage to the doors...!!!

and I start on the boxx using Birch scrapps from another project
test fit time
installing PA Speaker
boxx 2/3rds filled with pollyfill
install into place
pollyfill under cup holder / Grill
and Bamm !!! there you have a Center ch Midbass install, using Scrapps & old parts etc etc etc, >

Ok so im digging through some old boxxs and come across a 6.5mid driver ( Planet Audio }
and decide to gut the arm rest of its un used space too beef up my Midbass in the front stage
So i get started on the face/Grill to allow sound through
and I get to keep both cup holders ;D
