  1. I don't actually own the amp right now but I want it. And once I get enough money for the whole system I'll probly get one. But if you guys think it's not worth it, maybe I will just save a ton of money and get a T1000 and BL.

But nobody has answered my question. Can a 12" BTL play real low? I looked at the BL specs and the 12" has an FS of 38 hz. Which is pretty high, so let me know what u guys think.

I'm not so sure, I think it could play low. I've never actually owned one, so I can't say for sure.

But I know that the 18's play super low (Steve's Tahoe), so it could be a possibility that the 12 will play low too. I'm not sure though.

I'm sure theres people who have owned this sub, maybe they should chime in.

  2. I was wondering about the sub placement as well. With my car, the sub works well when I face it to the side and/or towards the back of the trunk. My back seats don't come down, but there's an armrest that comes down in the middle, and I can open it.

What materials would you use to seal it off from the trunk? I know it's possible, just don't know what materials to use.

  3. My uncle can do the dual alternator thing for me and the batteries won't be a problem, my concern is for right now would 1500 watts each be okay for the BTL's? or does someone on here have a hook up on the RF amps

It might be. For now, but remember that the BTL's take 2000 + watts. So to get that full potential, you'll need 2000 + watts running through one. It should be okay though, just won't be as loud till you get the bigger amp.

You're lucky you can do the dual alt and batteries, where I live there's no one who does that kind of job.

  4. u may want a bigger alt too. I guess its not neccessary, i ran 2 T10001's off my stock electrical with 3 batts... but i was dipping bad.

also i forgot, i dont know why people are sayn not to get a btl, go for it, especially off that T20001. But if u have a T20001 why dont u do 2 Q's sealed? it would be louder(in theory) than 1 12 btl.

I didn't realize he had that power. If he does, then go for the BTL. It'll take 2000 watts and more. It should be hella loud. Mxman is right, a bigger alt maybe needed to lessen the dippage.

  5. I remember that version going around somewhere. It was a different version because the bass drops earlier (the original has the bass dropping only during the chorus, and Gmonks one has the bass dropping halfway into the verse). Also, the original's chorus has that deep bass note throughout the chorus, while Gmonks version has the bass dropping then peaking in the chorus (It's hard to explain, sorry if I confused you).

I think he probably still has it, it sounded a bit deeper than the original imo. Both versions have deep bass though.

  6. Sorry if this a repost, but I recently found the cd, and I must say it pounds. I was wondering if any of you guys own or heard the cd, and what do you guys think of it.

My favorite songs are - Don't fall asleep and The boogieman.

I think Don't fall asleep has bass tones at something like 45 hz, with drops down to 30. For the majority, it's like 45.

And the boogieman has bass tones at something like 40 hz, with drops below 30.

My DD 3512 hits with Don't fall asleep.

  7. I'd agree with Earthman, If I were you, I'd go with a Q or a BL. Sure they're not as the BTL, but they still get down.

Yes. The BL still gets real loud with 1000 watts, and the Q sounds great with 1000 watts. The BTL will require a huge amp and probably a better battery and/or electrical system.

I'd go with a BL because it will get loud, and it's a great subwoofer with 1000 watts. I think you would need 2000 + watts for the BTL to get it movin. By then, the BL would already be bumpin.

  8. you dont think i could run a BTL on it for a couple months until i could afford to put another mcd1000 on it? it would still pound wouldnt it? i was just thinkin a BTL would be a good step because a fully loaded BTL is cheaper than a memphis mojo.

The BTL would be okay with that one amp you have, but it will def. slam with another one added on. I think you should be careful running one amp though, it may cause the amp to clip since the sub can handle twice the power. I think you should be aite though.

The BTL is a great sub, and the memphis mojo is expensive. After you're done with your M3, possibly look into the BTL. It'll do yah good with 2000 w.

  9. ^^^ X 2

I am happy with my 3512, even though I know it will never be as loud or hit as hard as the 95+ series. I can tell you that the 3512 is way louder with 1200 watts than my Memphis Mojo was with 1200 watts. The DD is also louder than my previous 2 12" Alpine Type R's off 1200 watts.

It has a hard time hitting the lower notes, but I think it's because the box is tuned to like 40 hz. It definitely has that UMPH to it though. Takes the power like a champ. I cant even imagine what the 95+ series will sound like. Probably 3 x louder!!! :hairtrick: A friend of mines is getting 4 12" DD 9500's, so I will def. take pics when it all comes in.

DD is great, and it's LOUD. Bottom line.
