    oh the Fi's that im talking about are a MAJOR UPGRADE from those rockford fosgates.

    I mean your could do this

    Get the Fi ssd which are rated at 800 rms mayve 900 rms if you get the upgrades this is their Lower line SUB

    or you could get a soundstream T4-12 like what i have .the 12's that are rates are 900 rms

    The Fi's would cost 478 for two

    and the soundstreams would be 378 on ebay for two also

    now your subs that you have make the fosgates P2 make like about 400 rms and thats with both of the subs while the FI and the soundstream make 900 rms with ONE sub

    I read that mine were 125 rms.

    well if your trunk it 20 inchs tall then yeah that 15 will fit.

    well do you know what amp your gonna get?cause it'll depend on the amps that it pulls also.

    hmmm that's a good question well two twelves have teh cone area of 226.6 while that 15 has 176.6.so id thnk the 12's since theirs more cone area.but like i said amy subs that you'd like?

    um. I really don't know tbh, fi's are good but i just don't want to get rid of my twelves for something less loud, I want to upgrade you know?

    then if it's clippin then lower your gains casue if you start clipping then kiss your subs good buy.well why not get the FI Bl or the Dc level 4 or if not get a soundstream t4 like i have.i got mine in a sealed box and it hits the lows all right just need the money to build the ported then DAMN ima be slappin.

    what channel amp would i need if i got one 15, and would it be okay if my shit was facing up because standing it would be to tall for my trunk.

    hey if that's with your bass off and your loud off then DAMN its pretty slapping.and oh yeah the box that you got is a ported box so id stick with that type of box and you know what theres a reply here that said a 1 15 inch sub i think that's a good plan casue your trunk looks pretty big so i'd go with that plan and just throw a 1000 watt amp to it.it should satisfy you.so have you though of it bro of what?

    My shit is clipping.

    My amp isn't strong enough, and it's making a really bad clipping noise. and it's really overheated.

    So I think i'm going with the one 15, but what kind of 15 and what kind of amp do you suggest sir?

    well with the 1000 rms at least upgade the one thats under the hood.the capactor will only do so much how much is the capacator 1 farad?are you goin to upgade the subs also?you doin a ported box or sealed?

    okay I can get a better battery, and my capacator is 1 farad. And yes I want to upgrade my subs, but I don't know what kind I want, and I can do either ported or sealed but I don't know which is better. help?

    how much power you wanna run them?id say FI BL's great sub and the 12's will do a good 1500 rms with the fully loaded feature.are you planning on doing any electrical upgrades?

    Yeah I was looking at those, I'll get a video of my fosgates that I have now and I'll post it tomorrow hopefully, i'll show you my little setup and shit and tell me what ya think.

    but what do you mean by electrical upgrades?

    Well, I just recently got into car audio and I like it very much.

    I have an OK system, but I want better.

    I have a 05 Malibu that has somewhat a little trunk space, right now I have 2 12" p2 Fosgates.

    Powered by a p500 amp.

    I'll admit i know close to nothing about installation, but I want to learn and get better and hopefully make my own boxes and hook my own wires up.

    I was looking to get 2 15's. Good ones, but somewhat cheap.

    If someone could give me some advice for an amp and 2 15s for a somewhat reasonable price.

    And just advice in general.
