This next build will be a lot louder and move a lot more air. it'll be fun
-

-
hair tricks. Delicious.
-
its gonna be a big build, ill post a build log up. Its gonna be 4 dc level 4 xl 15's, 2 ia 40.1's, 6 dekas, a steel cage for the box, lots of wood and 1/0, and so on and so forth.....
-
sure you gots enough room?
i is pahlenty sure.
-
Put the order in for 4 dc level 4 xl 15's today. Gonna wall muh ranger and hit some nasty lows pics soon to come.....

definitely a legit question man some people just think that if they know something then everyone else should know it to. I believe if I remember correctly, that meade was able to put so much power on his BTL's due to some factors like it was totally clean power as well as the spec of his box. Not sure exactly but its something about port area vs cu ft per sub and how it controls the cone. I know BTL's can take a lot though so I think with the right electrical you would be fine with a 3500 on each. AQ is the sister corp of DD so you know they are well built and good prices too.
steve meade was also able to run so much power because he knew his limits. Btls will take a crap ton of power like that, but only in certain amounts of time. Just gotta know its limits, as with any other piece of equipment.
-
thanks man thats all i was needing some guys who know more about them then i do i.e. (i just read online stuff) sry if my ?'s seem noobish or stupid..
its all good, sorry for comin off the way i did. But those amps would match up just fine with a fully loaded btl. should see some good results
-
well dam i had no idea ivv been looking evrywhere trying to see who all was running those amps sry bro... i havent ordered any subs or amps yet, like i said i will be soon, and on the electrical... i said im trying to work on building the bracket for a second alt for my diesil (they dont make/ offer one for my truck) i just wanted to know if they power or would power the BTLs nicely?? i know i need alot on the electrical to supply those amps i just wanted some advice
3500 per btl would be plenty power for good results, there are a ton of people running aq amps too. Plenty of bang for the buck.
-
*but will the AQ3500's be enough to properly power the BTL's?? it will be an amp on each sub.. and wired @1ohm most likely
Is this a serious question? Will 3500 watts be enough power for a btl? No offense but if you are asking questions like this the build seems to be a bit out of your league.
-
This is just like my build. GOD DAMMIT!
Yeah except you seem to have the proper electrical for yours
-
Is it just me or does the insides look very similar to a old IA 40.1? not saying they are the same, just similar guts.
-
fuck it, just do a blow through
-
o shit never mind well whut do you think i should get
out of those 3 setups
If you got room to do the 18's in a blow through id do the 18s, if not the 4 15's.
-
yup
Well a 158 on a burp would still take a lot of equipment and testing especially if youre, presumably, gonna have a lower tuned box for daily listening. A 158-159 is around what steve meade did in his old tahoe set up, if that gives you any idea what itll take.
-
ya i know that but whut do you think it would take to pull that off
Are you planning on making this a daily?
-
damn whut would it take to pull that in my truck with a blow through
A loooooot more power than 2 2000.1's lol.
-
really umm i forgot who i talked to on here but they claimed to have 1 level 5 18 that pulled like 156 at the dash
and it was a trunk car
i believe it, ive seen a 158.2 with 2 12's in the trunk of a civic.
-
really
yep, no joke. or just one 13.5 w7. Best freakin subs in the world, ever. Period. Well other than da pups
-
2 8 inch w7's would be louder than all three of those choices, but whatever......
