I'm thinking its voltage too. Ive got a 4g run from the negative of the battery to the chassis,and a 4g run from positive to alt. I don't know where the other wire is supposed to go for the big three upgrade. Ive got one 4g run to the amp and some big 8g as a ground (i know it needs to big 4g also gotta get more wire) Ive got 14g speaker wire going to the subs and yes they are wired to 1ohm. Now i am pretty sure my problem is voltage... Which is bad cause my parents wont let me get a bigger bat or and alt cause i am not keeping the car for to much longer.

I've got a few questions. 1. How can i tune my amp (crunch pzi.1000.1) to push hard but not clip? I always seem to clip, when i turn it up pretty high. 2. Sometimes when i turn it up real loud it sounds like the CD is skipping but its not. (Doesn't happen much) Happens with the amp is off too. 3. If i don't have the car on and i turn up my highs (no bass) the CD player shuts off and turns back on. Why is that? -Thanks in advance.

Ahhh i found the sub details, its a Memphis 15-PR154D. If i got a motor, would it be reconeable?

Well i went to my friends sisters trailor today, and as soon as i walked up to the driveway i saw a sub in the garden full of water... I was like hey can i look at that, and they said, "you can have that garbage" so i took it. The voice coil was locked up do to rust and i removed the cone. Can someone clarify what sub it is cause it has no numbers. I think it might be a pr 15. I was also wanting to know if its possible to rebuild this sub.

Ah shit, should i just stay at 1ohm then? I just don't wanna be to hard on the amp, but don't wanna go to 4ohm.

Here are some more progress pics. Who said it wouldn't fit? Made my own terminal block, wired to 2ohm for now. Ugly i know... gonna fill all the holes and get it purty one of these days. Added my 3"s in my little pods I made. Her buddy of 14 years just died a week ago, trying to keep her company...

Took me and hour to get the box in my damn car! i had to take my passenger seat out and practically throw my body weight into multiple times. Pulling it back out tomorrow to wire it up at 2ohms instead of 1ohm. also making the terminals tomorrow.

It kinda looks like the box in your trash. The box is gonna be black and the port red, if you didnt notice the subs are black and red too haha.

It fits lol, i had to trim the corners of the trunk firewall thing though. Cavis have the same prob, and there is no way to put in in except through the back seat.. lol.

Well i think mine hit pretty hard, if you go out and put them in a scoche prefab box like most people do then no. Just depends on what they are in kinda.

Got a sheet of MDF, some wood glue, and some screws today. Double layered baffle, port wall, and back wall. Single layered sides and bottum. Pretty red port haha. Back 4x4 is crooked, it bugs the hell out of me. How does this fit in my sunfires trunk?

lol the main skeleton is made out of ply wood so i want an outer layer of mdf haha.

As of now the outer layer is done. Gotta buy some MDF when i get back from vacation to finish the double baffle, front port beauty panel, and the rear of the box. I set the subs in the box just for picture purposes. Sealed the box and primered it for shits and giggles. 4 4x4s as support, no flex.

i shortened the wire added a fuse block and relocated my ground wire which is also shorter now.

is there supposed to be a fuse block on the wire going from to positive to the alt? and could i just disconect the original wire from the pos to the alt?
