  1. I like Twisted Tea. Mike's Harder is always an option too :friends:

I found if you add some more lime to Bud Light Lime it stops tasting like beer, and more of a fizzy lime drink. It doesn't leave you with and obnoxious sugar flavor that 10+ lemonades do.

the more u drink of it the better it will taste over time.

True, after 7-8 beers, you won't mind the taste at all.

Oh yeah, and sometimes we just fill the cups with water and play with mixed drinks (rum and coke, etc.) on the side, keeps the balls from getting sticky.

  2. I have a 1994 Saturn SL that I've been fixing up. My problem is randomly on cold starts there is a loud whooshing sound for the first second when you start the car. It isn't frequent enough to isolate the problem though.

I put in a new starter during winter. Can't recall if it was happening before that, but it doesn't sound like the starter.

I have put in a new head, valves, camshaft, etc. and a new timing chain after the problem.

Other than this, it starts up and runs really well.

  3. So, been working for the past month of so on a website for some videos a few friends and I are doing. One of them is going to school for directing. They are all basically just stupid/silly videos and short skits. What do you think about the site design? etc.? Forum still needs a new template, but that was added like two days ago.

Have a series planned based around a college dorm and 3-4 pages of basic ideas for videos to shoot in the future.

  4. My parents divorced about 8-9 years ago, and got back together about 5 years ago and remarried about 3 years ago. I know this isn't the case for everyone, but there's always that chance. And she should make the decision based on whats best for the child and you guys, her parents shouldn't matter. My sister married an alcoholic, ex-drug user, bipolar... the list goes on and although my parents are still upset about it, they more or less got over it and we see them almost every day.

  5. So, I've been looking at a 99 323i BMW on craigslist for the past few days. It was originally listed for 4 grand, 120k miles on it. The number listed was a dealership in Green Bay. Called that and got an answering machine and no returned call. I see the post deleted shortly after the call, but then re-listed for 3.3k without the phone number. I email the guy and ask him if I could see it Monday. He said it would be sold by Monday and wouldn't give me a phone number or address. Asked him a few questions about it, said he bought it off a friend who needed money. He deleted the craigslist listing and re-listed it for 3k. I believe that listing has now been deleted too, but emailed him and he gave us an address to see it at today, told us a few other people were coming to look at it. According to Street View on google, there's nothing at that address, but with a little more searching it turns out it is a Shell gas station. This entire thing seems kind of sketchy too me, was wondering what some other people thought?

  6. I'm going to school for computer engineering. I'm on a very fast paced schedule with 50 credits last year and will graduate with 196. Keep working at it, it definitely pays off. Chances are if you quit, you're not going back. A friend of mine dropped out. Took him getting arrested and spending a few years in prison for dealing drugs to make him realize he should go to college. He's going for computer science too actually. You may find a 40-50k a year job now, but without a college degree, it leaves ANYONE the option to take that job too.

  7. I was driving home from Milwaukee and my car broke a lifter guide (I have to ask, how the hell?), allowing the lifter to rotate and broke it, also causing it to mess up the head. Need to get a new head and a few other things, might do the rings and main bearings while I have it apart. I'm gonna have quite a few hundred dollars in that. I currently got the head half pulled out and twisted a 3/8 extension trying to break the bolts holding the head down.

Couple days ago my watch breaks, not on the band but where it attaches to the "face" or whatever you call it. I was drunk carrying a 200+ lb person down a hallway, I guess it was enough pressure on the watch to snap it, so I guess this ones mostly my own fault, but I just dropped $100 on a new watch.

Today, I was having problems with my desktop computer. It is running Windows Server 2003. The screen just goes black. I unplug everything, pop a few things out and clean it up a bit, plug it back in and find the graphics card fan seized up and overheated the graphics card, which no longer works. I bummed an extra one off a friend until I can get a new one.

After that I decide to install Vista on the computer, and my DVD burner wouldn't open, apparently its stuck shut, so I got a DVD-ROM drive off the same friend. I get it booted up and it tells me one of my hard drives it failing. Have almost 500GB worth of information I'm currently trying to copy over to a couple other hard drives.

I was hoping to start the summer with a bit of cash, but its not looking like thats going to happen.
