just a "verbal" update : I spent the day playing with my system and i just thought i would say THIS SHIT IS INSANE LOUD.
WAY LOUDER then last video's, way more intense......its everything i want in a system now and im STILL at 1.4 ohms and BTL's....more to come in the next week as long as everything holds up. So far so good. Ask David what he thinks he will tell you. He heard it when i picked him up at the airport and tonite he heard the new improved version Kasey, call me tomorrow you can come witness for yourself and confirm
that is all...so stoked i HAD to make this post. T2500bd's are NO JOKE!! They woke up today! :hairtrick:
louder?
...................say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
Cant wait for a new video

If your settings are correct, you shouldnt be able to blow the subs if your underpowering them
-
Ok, so new box specs, are 4.6 cubes @ 35 hertz MAX DEMENSIONS so no more cubes to gain anywhere, will the .2 cubes per woofer really matter, cuz he doesnt want to spend 700 bucks on 2 12s that can take 1k daily and be loud. Cant get DC because Slapuhho would slit his wrist because he wouldnt be the only one in champaign who had them. So two choices, a 15" Btl in too small of a box (which you guys have said is a bad thing, which it is) = 3.15 cubes OR 2 12" AQ HD's with 2.3 cubes PER woofer and tuned to 35 hertz. Seems like an easy decision to me.
-
Off only 2k total and in a small box for 12s I'd go elsewhere for woofers, unless you're planning on running SDCs. Which I'm pretty sure aren't in stock right now. It's pointless to get woofers like that with a small amount of power per woofer in an inefficient enclosure. With a different sub in those conditions you will see much better results. Besides the ones I mentioned before also look into LVL3s + DD 2512s.
On 2.5 k rms, I think is plenty enuogh for the two aq's, in 3.8 cubes, isnt the usual enclosure for a 12 about 1.5-2.5 cunes, I dont see a problem here?
There the HD Series sub not the SD's
-
If i was you i would def go with 2 HDC3 10's in 1.5cu each. Their woofers slam from the 18's down to the 10s if you put them in the right box.
He wants more cone area, and I think those subs in about 1.75-2 cubes will slam.
-
Ok, so the height is good now, but with the bracing I still get 3.14 cubes (which he doesnt want)
But for 2 12's I get 3.81 cubes w/ 16.5 inches of height with everything i need for a good box. He wants input on aq not weather or not the box will work.
-
I dont like there only being about 1/4"-1/2" between the circle and the top and bottem plate, I just dont see that as being too strong. Especially with 2k+ watts and a btl. And this wasnt even the box plan I had with 17", with 17" I came up with a little more than 3 cubes. And I'm pretty sure he doesnt want that.
-
I don't see why 17" is not enough for a 15" woofer. The boxes I put 15's in usually have less on the face then 17". I usually try to put a 15" woofer in a box that is 16-16.5" on the face where the sub is mounted. If it were me I'd make that 15 fit.
Well for me its 17"-1.5" (Mdf Top and bottem plate)=15.5 Outer ring of sub = 15.625" And there wouldnt be that much space between the baffles and the top and bottem plate, like less than an inch on top and bottem of the sub, so i dont think it would be that strong?
-
As of right now I have a box with 3.8 cubes so 1.9 per woofer, @ 36 hz with roughly 13 square inches of port per cube. So lets get some input from SMD

Same kinda thing happened to me, something wasnt working right with my sub, i emailed scott and he called me like an hour later. He said he would take care of it, and he paid for shipping both ways, ($80 both ways) and sub came back in a timley (sp) fashion and worked perfect. Got my 1 12" Bl to hit 142.1 and growing. So to Fi Customer Service :give_rose:

Even with the big 3 all 1/0 wire and those batts he'll drop into the 12's? isnt that a bad thing? lol I dont even like dropping into the high 13's when I use my knob.

NO IT DEPENDS ON HIS VOLTAGE DROP
what does his voltage drop down to at full tilt?
not in a car yet. so i dont know, if i knew what the voltage drop was then i wouldnt ask a ? like this here.
The maxima has a good alt, but it also has a lot of accessories. You will have to watch the voltage while playng it. If it drops below 12 he will have problems.indeed, but even with those two batts and only 2500 watts he will need a new alt? I am running 2k rms and my voltage doesnt drop below 14. stock alt. with yellow top up front and kinetik 1800 in back
-
So i told him what a guy said at the shop about him NEEDING a h/o alt. Heres the set up
1 fi btl 15"
1 saz 2k
1 hc 2400
1 optima yellow top
STOCK ALT
I think that he will be fine with that little battery bank, he trusts this forum so I told him I would post this up. Thanks
Again I know a h/o alt cant hurt, but thats not the ? here, does he NEED a h/o alt in order to have this system.
EDIT: Car is a 98 maxima thanks

4 15" Fully Loaded Btls in a wall 18 Cubes @ 30 hz
4 Rockford Fosgate 2500's
2 Rockford Fosgate T-1500-4
T3 Mids n Highs
Some 8v preout Headunit
2 300 amp alts
4 Kinetik Hc 3800's
Maybe all that will take away some of that 12" lift.

I wonder who installed all that to make car go boom?
I love sitting in this car, too bad it doesnt meter all that well, because "techniaclly" im louder, but you feel his shit. Even though im used to 150's now that I lost my 150 db virginity so I dont even hear it lol

And thats how it is supposed to be
P.S. Oren, dont expect too much from me, because you cant even give me the $$$ for paypal in order to order your shit. You fuggin failure

i made some rings today.. to end up with a ring 7.75" in diameter i had to use 8.25". add 1/4" width of the bit for the 2 sides = 1/2 inch
So does that mean that every cut i make with my router it needs to be 1/2" less than the circle?
because I cut my bl's hole @ 11.125" and it doesnt fit tight, I can move it around, not a lot, but enough. But on Fi's website it says 11.125 inside diameter.
-
yeah that bit will work.
Just have to keep in mind weather you are using the inside dia or outside as the bit will change your numbers
what do you mean by this, the inside or the outside of the bit? I thought that the jasper jig took that into account and thats why you use a 1/4" bit. So if i set it at 11.125" aka 11 1/8" what size hole would i get?

You can always get some new springs. Thats a relative cheap route

I am looking for kind of Rap/Techno or a Rap Techno mix. Maybe not exactly techno but electronic sounds or something of that nature for example
this song
http://www.rapbasement.com/audio/tf-mafia-...afia-muzik.html
need some help finding some of these songs
May be a stupid Question But.........
in Subwoofers / Enclosures

I will be using bolts for the speaker wire, ( never done it before)meaning wire with terminal on inside, and wire with terminal outside, the box will be carpeted so.....
1. will the current flow cause a problem with the carpet? (ex heat causing fire or burning of the carpet)
2. The nuts and bolts are all Stainless Steel, is that ok for this use?
3. Will these affect the ohm load that the amp sees? (imp rise?)
Thank you in advance
Sry if these are dumb ?'s, I used the search bar, but I didnt get much that really helped.
