shit thats a good ass score on your part. so if i do my shit right with a saz1500 and my 200 amp alt i should be able to put up some similar scores hopefully :hairtrick:
Well it also depends on the car and the box, but yeah with a 1500 on a bl you better get a 140 at least. Oh and make sure you atleast get the flatwind coil and cooling options, mine never gets warm even when pushing 1700+ to it
-
Iwould delete that post brotha you can get in trouble for that shit ... (the pricing)
-
haha numbers do not lie. how big of a box was yurs in? and ima be running mine with my saz1500d i think that should do the trick lol.
I was @ 2.5 cubes tuned to 33 htz on 1300 watts clean
He was @ 4 cubes tuned to 32 htz on 1350 watts clean
Now im on 1700 watts to my 09 model bl and getting 142 + ON MUSIC. love it
how much is a dc lvl 4 xl subsEmail rusty he will give you the entire list of prices.
-
Well my experiance with my Bl and my friends lvl 4 xl. I say go for the bl, nothing against DC they make amazing subs, but the meter didnt lie same wattage, his 15" v my 12" Bl I got 140.5 he got 138.7

Just started this addiction last year, but I have
1- Rockford Fosgate T-1000-1bd
1- 2008 Model Fi Bl 12"
2- MB Quart 5 1/4" component sets
1- Broken Rockford Fosgate T-500-2 (anyone wanna buy it )
about 50 ft of 1/0
-
I hit 14.7 today with stock alt hc 1800 in back optima in front.
Was around 40-50 degrees this morning
-
Justupgrade your front battery to an optima or something that fits, 500-1kwatts wont kill your voltage.
-
Ture, very true. Now if I do add the 1/0 neg run, should it be from the alternator mounting bolt, or from the front battery neg terminal?
BTW big three also done already
If I recall Correctly the alternator bolt is on the best grounds on the car, but either one will work. I have always been told to keep the runs even, so 1 + 1- or 2+ 2-.

From personal experience, I've had a 93 Honda Civic hatchback, 91 hatchback, 95 Camry, 95 Tahoe, 99 4runner, and now a 01 impala. Let's just say, the Impala sucks the most. I mean, it looks badass and all but so many freakin problems with it so far. Key lock cylinder, wiper relay, driver window switch, etc stuff that never happened to any of the imports I had. I guess that's why I'm looking for a newer import right now
This is why I dont buy used Cars I would rather be in debt for 1.5-2 years (I pay 2x the monthly payment every month) then to deal with the bull shit that is a previously abused used car. I got lucky with my 95 buick that i sold to my cousin, ran amazing with only 52k on it, but I have heard stories from a friend of mine that had to have his engine rebuild a month after buying the used car. I guess it also comes to knowledge when buying a used car, if you know what to look for than your in a lot better position to make a good purchase, but me. Ill stick to new cars even if im 17 years old
-
I would say that a car is only as good as the owner wants it to be. If you dont want to take care of your car, it wont last, my grandpa still drives his 197x Ford F-150 with about 300k + miles on it. Same Engine garage kept and he does his own maitanence. Its all about how you take care of your car imo
-
My Rockford Fosgate T-1k putts out 1350 watts

I have respect for anyone who has a system, as long as they dont talk shit to me about my shit or if they have xplodes and think their the shit is SOOOOO LOUD then i dont have a problem with them.

if you have a black car and dont know how to use a buffer, i would recomend you stay away from it. swral marks are hard to get rid of but easy to get. doing it by hand will invole alot more work but a better resalt in the end. (not better then a buffer at no means, but better then a buffer if you dont know what your doing) doing all the steps by hand , doing it right and takeing your time all said in done maybe 3 hours. unfortanly you have a black car in order to keep it lookin great it involes cleaning everyday. the wax will last bout a month with everyday wash and wax. with mine i have a dark blue i gave up on keeping it clean but to keep it clean all the time was a pain wash everyday and dry. with a quick wax.
Yeah, um if i Have to wash my car everyday to keep it clean, not worth it to me..... I honestly dont have to time to manually wash it everyday, im in school till 330. Work at 4-9/10. Homework Bed. i dont have time to wash it everyday. Thanks for the tips n shit though
I was thinking waxing once every 1-2 months. I would do that, but everyday. Fuck that

Wow great reply, So Meguiers is the shit eh? Do I need to order this online or Advance Auto Parts/ or Autozone. IF its done correctly with no steps skipped how long will this last me? with normal wear and tear? And is using a buffer is as good as hand detailing? because that would save time on the big sections Thanks

First of all this inspired me
http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=51330
Anyway
I have never really been into the exterior looks of a car, more of the sound, now I am. But I want a long lasting job, not one that lasts a week or two. I mean months if thats possible...... idk. I have tried to wax my car before, but I dont think I have done the precleaning that was needed. So what do I need. Buffer, Microfiber Towels, Clay Bar, "Clay Lube" aka pre cleaner, washed and dryed car Overcast kind of day. Does that sound about right? I have a black car so is there anything special I need to do? Vids Links advice? Anything that you will think that will help me I will appriciate. (Steps would be nice also)

haha lol... had to be some huge amp
No, it was about the size of a "big" sony xplod amp............
Dude couldnt even see over the steering wheel because of his "seat"
-
yep, it acts like a port and makes it louder on the opposite side of the car.
Thats pretty badass, I will look into that next time I get metered. Thanks mayne
-
That's some nice bass...
LOL on "watch here"... well boys will be boys... haha...
BTW can someone tell me how all the bass things measures?
Do they put a mic in the car or car has to be away from mic or...?
You didnt see that dude, he was a weird mofo I wish i got a pic of his car. Lets just say 1 18 walled SEALED with an 18" RE SX with 0 seats just cusions and the amp where the passenger side seat SHOULD be. Hilarious
And yes they put the mic in your car and run like a 15-20ft cat 5 cable to their computer
-
fyi its louder with driver door open everything else closed.
i have seen gains from subs firing forward into cab with trunk open.
Even if they put the mic on the passenger side?
-
That's a pretty huge score for both doors open, usually with that little cone area you start to lose dB with more than 1 door/window open.
AC or Termlab?
Termlab of course
Can anybody see what I peaked at I forgot to check after my run. Im pretty sure its around 40 hz
-
nice job.
did u have to compete with BOTH doors open tho?
No, I just had my passenger side open and I was stuck at 140.5 a dude next to my car opened my driver door and boom 142.1. Couldnt improve from there though. I got everything I hoped to out of this system and more. When I went to the show I hoped for a 141 Topps, I walked away with 2nd place. The other dude hit a 144.3 with 1 12" American Bass Sub (dont know the model) ran at 1/2 ohms and burped it. He said playing music he said he hit max 141.9 sealed, and 143.6 @ the kick. All with termlab of course.
-
3/4
Its what i use
Thank you sir, Ill be sure to order some up.
