  2. I gave up all the downloading music videos and burning onto dvd crap. Just a waiste of time and blank dvds. Also could damage your laser on your headunit if you keep puttin some beat up ass cd's.

I'd look at gettin ah I-Pod Classic and upload all the videos off youtube from their. I have over 1000 rap videoz on their and could fit some more. As for the music call me the Rap Kingpin. I got almost every artist albumz and mixtapes. Got over 60,000 songs on my rap game discovery. You name it id probaly already got it..

The real tricky part is finding a program that lets you download videos off of youtube without no errors on your I-Pod. Forget all those programs that try charging your for their bullshit ass program. The real program that gets the job done with no errors is called "Free Youtube to I-pod Converter".

This program puts all those other programs like keepvid.com to shame! Its free and works 1000 times better than the fakes. Just be glad i showed you guys the light and thank me later..

  3. what's the new set up consist of?

I'm working on stuff for 3 vehicles right now, trying to have them all ready for this show...

4 Alpine Type R 12's. Dont think it'd be enough to steal the show but still i dont mind knowing what it would it meter and of course meeting with some of the locals. The problem is

they still havent been released yet and im just waiting for the Pine to release them hopefully early April.. If i dont make this event im sure i'l be at the next one. Just a matter of time..

  4. Correct. Its always best to adjust the sound that suits your taste from having a good ear. I would turn the volume up from the headunit to whatever vol level sounds like you hear

distortion and from their set the H.P.F. to anywere from 120 to 160 no higher than 200 for the comps. For the 4x6's try setting the crossover a lil lower than 80.

Also since your setting the filters through the amp this means you can adjust your bass gains a lil higher. maybe in between the halfway mark should do for the comps. For the 4x6 speakers set those gains a lil lower. Reading the specs on that amp you should be good setting the gains halfway for the front comps (or a lil bit pass halfway) since it puts out 50watts at 4 Ohms rms.

You just never wanna overdrive your speakers thru too much bass.

    continuous power 50W x 4 @ 4-Ohms RMS

    100W x 4 @ 2-Ohms RMS

    200W x 2 @ 4-Ohms bridged RMS

  5. The main question has to be are you talking about setting the H.P.F. on the h/u or the 4 channel amp? Reason why i ask is theres different ways of adjusting the filters

depending on the h/u you are using.. The H.P.F. cuts off the bass and adds treble as opposed to the L.P.F were it cuts out treble and adds bass.. So theres so

many ways to go about tuning and setting gains that you basically cannot overdrive the speakers by adding too much bass which will then lead to distortion.

If you going to turn off the H.P.F. on the amp and adjust it from the headunit (Im assuming your amp has H.P.F and L.P.F.) then id recomended setting the bass gains

real low especially if the speakers only handle 45 watts id put the gains anywere from less than 1/3 of the gain. Set the H.P.F from the headunit to 80 for the 4x6s

and another question I didnt mention is how many watts do the comps handle? If its anywere to a 100 watts rms id put the H.P.F frequency from 100 to 110 no more than 120.

Also set the gains on the 4 channel amp a lil less than halfway depending what the comps puts out at 4ohms it should be safe. Another thing will play a key role if your looking

for clearity is having slope adjustments. This is something were equalizers/processors come into play and its just a whole another ball game from their.

Hope this helps.. Any questions im here..

  6. Nope, dual 4's wired at 1-ohm final load. and i did the big 3 upgrade and tried the amp again and had the same jjump. Like i said I was bumpin at a low vol and then outta nowhere my voltage dropped to 9 back to 14.6 then kept doing it. I unhooked amp and it stopped. The alt takes the full load of a/c on, headlight on, 100rms amp full tilt, fan full speed, with no prob. doesnt even hesitate.

I double checked power for shorts and found none. I was advised by Maxxsonics not to hook amp back up or else i woulld try diff ground. I sanded sheetmetal first and everything. Thing is my ground waire is like 2 to 2 and a half foot. Idk if that plays any part but the amp worked perfectly for the few days i had it hooked up. subs are okay they still work, thats what the 100rms 2 channel is powering now.

Could my amp just be a lemon like suggected?

edit: oh and the voltage was jumping everytime the amp saw power. even with all rca's, speaker cable unplugged

Is your amp 1 ohm stable? Or is it just 2 and 4 ohm stable? Reason why I ask is because

my amp is 2 and 4 ohm stable and i had dual 4 ohm subs ( two L7 15s) wired down into 1

ohm's and they sucked alota power...

Even when the bass hit, with the aftermarket alt and Big III

and batcap, I was seeing my volt gauge drop down into the high 11's with the car in idle!!

Not sure if my volt gauge was too accurate tho..

Thats when i changed the belt into a goodyear gatorback and it did help the car from stuttering

when the bass hit, when i was in idle.. Anyways alota things can

play a roll to this, but i doubt its anything with your grounds being 2 and ah half foot long..

Definitley something electrical.. If ya have anybody in your area that

has the same subs, but dual 2 ohm's wired down into 2 ohm's, id put em in and

then you'l notice how bad your voltage drop is as compared to having dual 4's wired down to 1ohm..

  7. Sounds like your new amp is drawing alota power for the alternator to handle. Their always a solution,

replace the alternator with a higher output alternator depending on the alternator your car can handle

it should be anywere from 165 to 200 amps..

Anyways your definitley gona notice a less voltage drop.. Oh forgot to mention

im assuming you have dual two ohm subs powered down into 2 ohms? Ohms's law also play a big roll in

    voltage drop..

  8. Hey I installed my HIDs this morning from santa and they came on perfect took a ride came back working fine, went out again(they were so pretty) and they were working fine, then I left to go pick up my grandma and I jumped out to look at them again because they are sexy... and my drivers side one is out. So I turn it off and on and I see it flicker then turn off(just the drivers side one goes off). I have a relay on my ballasts and my grounds are good, is one of my ballasts bad?

Its a bad ballast on the side of the HID thats bad... I too had a bad ballast when i first installed my H.I.D.'s 2 years ago.. Guess you gota go thru warrenty and all that... Its sucks but it happens..

Also you can use different size ballasts in the H.I.D world..
