For the crimes that are being committed these guys do not seem like tough guys at all. I mean robbing cars in the dark, you have yourself a few cowards. If you are not worried about the consequences that may occur. Take you about 3 friends and go find these guys...dont talk shit, dont even let them know its coming...just handle your business. Then when its all said and done, let them know they are no longer welcome around your area/street. If the police will not do anything, I know its a bitch to prove shit and breaking into a car aint high on the cops list of things to worry about, you dont have many options:
1. Keep being the victim and deal with it
2. Move to another area where it could be better...but it could get worse
3. Let these guys know that you aint playing that shit.

:clapping: TDH!!
Good job Jay!

debadging always looks better!

Also for all you guys sending PP money as a gift...keep this in mind. Once you send John Doe your hard earned money as a gift..if he decided to fuck you and not ship what you bought, you are SOL and PP will do nothing for you. You loose all protection. Also dont let PP find out that you are sending payments as a "gift" cause I bet you are violating terms of use. So next time you plan on beating the system ask your self is the couple bucks that will be saved really worth it.

Brand and model # on your tweets and mids.

Once its in your house it becomes home audio. Me I have a lot more Garage audio than anything else.

Very good thanks fellas

So I have never been in a Meca competition yet. But since they are the most prominent sanction here in VA I figure I might as well. Here is a run down of what I am running for the sub and electrical portion. I will assume my mids and highs do not matter.
Dual alts
4 XS D1400s (14v batteries charging at 16.8V)
Two Cadence C5 amps (rated @ 18v 5100 @ 1 ohm)
4 18" AQ HDC3's
No fuses
I really dont know what is needed but if i am missing some info please just ask.
-
man your super late. I already ordered, received and installed mine, lol.
And i got the dual alt setup. $159 shipped, little higher than I expected. $59 buck for 12" of wire, ehh it is what it is.

Works great. I had a bit of trouble setting it tho...my fault for not reading the directions. I turned the headlights on and the ac on full blast to give the truck a load. I have a Stinger volt meter in the truck so i used that instead of a DMM on the battery. Every time I turned the screw on the VCBM then checked the Stinger meter there was no difference. Did this for about 10 mins before i decided to read, lol. It clearly says apply a load and rev the engine to about 1000rpm when setting it. Soon as I revved it up voltage shot up to like 17.xx, lol. So then i just dialed it back down and checked it again ....till I got it right. All is good now. only thing i really need to do is shorten the harness by about 8 inches.
I am happy with it. Would be nice to make it so you can mount the adjustment pot anywhere tho. But at least this way you dont have to worry about anyone pushing buttons or turning the bitch up...or down.
-
will only turn out as good as you prep.
-
Got it in the mail today. Looks pretty good. I may have to shorten my harness some but it should do the trick.
-
Nice little promo! I hope I get my VBCM in the mail today I am looking forward to going to a 14v setup.
On topic. What do you have available for my 01 suburban 5.3l
-
No doubt...tell him you paid for the shirts. Offer to sell them back to him for $9. So you do have your paycheck its just not signed? You better scribble some shit on there and cash that bitch.
-
well damn. You sir need to buy some 30 or 50 gallon barrels and fill them bitches up...dont forget the Stabil
I just put $92 in my tank today and i had a quarter tank still in the truck

wouldnt you need a 14v charging system
Thats what the VCM does. Allows you to boost your voltage.
Also OP just FYI i paid $159 for the Mechman VBCM that will control dual alts. It doesn't have the fancy display but it does the same thing. Not sure what the VCM goes for. Also Mechman pretty much guaranteed a 48 hour delivery where I heard that XS is having a tough time getting the VCMs out on time...talking months. Just what I heard.
-
I was going to do a 12 and 14v system in my truck because i was unsure if my stock electrical would like the 16+ volts. Turns out that Mechman has been running a silverado with a d1400 and VCM for over a year on the stock alt. Of course the VCM is used to boost up the charging voltage of the stock alt. I will be doing this on my suburban here soon. taking all the 12v batteries out and using the Mechman VBCM to boost my dual alt up to charge 4 D1400s. You however may want to talk to someone that knows more about your specific vehicle. See Mechman did it on a Silverado and I will be on a similar year Suburban so I am confident mine will work no problem. Besides that with my MLA ona freezing cold day my truck will charge in the lower 16s and i have never had any issues...and that was running an all 12v system . So check with someone that knows more about your specific vehicle first. Or you could do a step down box so you dont have to worry.

I was told you guys have something similar to the XS VCM. Where can I go to check it out. Also whats the price for one that will control dual alts on my 01 suburban 5.3l
-
For real? I cant wait that long.

Can you send me an invoice thru Google or Paypal? [email protected]

So you had problems by running multiple runs to multiple batteries straight from the alt? I have five batteries and 4 runs of 1/0. ONe run to my main batt, one run to my two HC800s and one run per HC2400....never had any issues. I am sorry for jacking your thread OP but just wondering what problems baker got.
I would have told the OP its fine. They are all common points anyway.
-
Could someone from XS please PM me a price on a VCM with harness for my truck. I also am running two alternators so the harness would need to accommodate. I have the 5.3l engine.
Also do you think a D1400 will fit under the hood?

T nuts are probably the best. Few problems I have ran into with them though. Make sure you glue them bitches when you install them. Nothing like going to tighten like the second to last bolt and the damn t nut falls into the box. Then you have to take them all out and start over. Another issue I have had, Even when you screw them, In MDF it is easy to over tighten them and just plain tear the MDF. Also you better make damn well sure that speaker doesn't move when you are drilling all the holes, just one more thing to fuck your day up when you tighten like half the bolts just to find out some of your holes are not lining up right. Just a few things I have encountered. Also if you dont cut the hole perfect, like if you cut the sub hole a tad to big, the t nuts can stick out into the cutout and really provide next to nothing for strength.
But if you have none of these problems they should work great! LOL. Another option is go to your local hardware store and get you a box of #12 or 14 hex head screws, make sure you pre drill you holes.
