thanks anyone else ?I still need help will taking up the .44cubes in my box to make it 8 cubes total will that bring my tuning up
-
unless you are doing some hardcore SPL (and looking at your tuning, your not) you wont notice the difference between those frequencies. I have seen weather changes effect frequencies more than that.
i always 45 the woofer side of the enclosure, but like ^^^^said, add some bracing. How much does this woofer displace??
each woffer dissplaces .31 then its dbl baffel and i dont know how mch the extra baffel takes up and i have alot of braceing in there an on the calc. it says if i add a 8" 45 to the woffer side oppisit of port opening it will take up .44cf but will that be to big of 45 but it will get me closer to 8 cubes and 32hz please help
-
where is all the box experts at lol? i thought this was smd and no one can answer a simple ? well not simple for me
-
my box after dissplacments is 8.40 the .40 has put my tuning to low around 29.75hz i need to be at 8cubes and around 31 to 32hz ill be adding a 45 degree
at the back of the port it will be around 7"x 34.5" will this be to much of a 45 and my port is 4"x25"x21.5"deep can someone help the box is 14.5Hx34.5Wx34.5D inside messurments

Opinions on 45's very greatly, personally I don't use them. They are very over rated imo.

I can let you in on a little secret of mine.
Use clay, put it in the corners of the box building them out at a certain angle,
add just a little at first, then test.
Then add some more and test again,
then add more and test again.
and so on until you have good data to go on.
Then change the angle and repeat.
If something works, leave the clay in and fiberglass over it.
If it hurts you, simply remove the clay.
ok sounds good but i have very littel time on the tl with the specs on the box and my eqiment i listed what whould you do
-
sent you a pm ed sorry thought you was gone
-
How many of what size subs?
The angles may hurt in some setups, or do nothing.
What can help depending on your cone area is reducing box volume and shortening the port.
ed they are treo ssx 18" x2 with 2 rdaudio 3250.1's if that helps

It depends on the bracing you currently have id say. Id does help with airflow alot tho. Think of a car exhaust, if its got smooth bends the air flows better than the crinkle bent crap from Midas, same inside your box, Squared edges hinder smooth flow.
You could pick up a tenth or 2 id guess if your box flexs alot, if the box is flexing, the pressure inside isnt exiting as forcefully as it could.
i would like to think i have 0 flex the box is braced good and is 1 1/2 all around but can you tell me if making the port a littel shorter will help to get me around 35hx thanks for your reply

is it gonna help any to put 45's in a box tuned to 32hz i just need to pick up a couple 10th to brake a 150.xx also my box in 9.99 cubes gross and around 8 cubes net after all dissplacments port is 100sqin 4"x25" and 21.5"deep if i was to take 2" of my port what will my tuning be say it was 19.5" please help
