  4. You're going to bring the tuning up...that's too low...shoot for 45-50hz.....and in m5 your gonna need a 155 to be competitive also...check your impedance rise. What kind of vehicle?

it a 97 ford probe gt i wont it to still play music well thats why i tuned to 32hz but what tuning will still play well and give good numbers

  5. i have 2 18" treo ssx's and 2 rd audio 3250.1's my box is 10 cubes net 8cubes after all dissplacments its tuned to 32hz with 100sqin of port subs up port back in a 97ford probe hatchback car i did a 149.5@28hz i know its not bad but what can i do to get it to do 150xx im doing meca comps i have 2 hc2400's in the back autozone batt up front stock alt for now till i get money for an upgrade but in meca m5 class can i run more batt i cant understand the rules good but to be honest a 149.5 @ 28hz feels like my car is falling apart lol please help me hit a 150xx please here is a link to a coulple of my vids pleaes comment them

  6. i have 2 18's but when i got my car metored with the termlab they put it right on the windshild but in meca they say it goes in the seat will this give you a higher score then on the windshild
You probably need in-line fuses within 18" of the amps.

can you anwser the ? above about the termlab

and i guess meca is about who has the best fuse lol

  7. heres a link to my build thred Visit My Website my ? is i have a stock batt up front with a 300amp fuse and 2 hc 2400's in the back running 2 rd audio 3250.1 amps the 300amp fuse up front is the only fuse

i have never did a meca comp but reading the rules i think i might be in m5 becouse of the 1 fuse but my amps are rated @750wrms @4ohms i would like to make the m3 class but what will i have to do im confused with all this any help please

  8. It may, it may not.

Just turn it off, its not really needed since the amp will do full power with or without bassboost.

Mainly all bassboost will do is add clipping to the amp at full power, and give your music a much dirtier sound, then if there was no bass boost.

I was always taught that bass boost will only give you a gain when your volumes where low.

Same with any sort of bass boost, loud, or bbe processing on the headunit that gives added bass. Just turn it off.

Its not worth cooking your voice coils :)

ok ill try this first before doing anything else

  9. Otherwise try resetting your gains for all your amps to do full rated power at volume 33-35 instead of volume 38-42 (make sure to regain the mids and tweets amp if you have one too otherwise it wont be doing full power while your subs are).

Its worth a shot and easier then unstrapping the amps or swaping your master slaves like uhoh said.

what do you think about just unstrapping them and running one amp per sub @1ohm i dont think my rise will be as high like that and i can get more power to the subs

  10. aight thats what i kinda figured, but just wanted to be sure, that would sure cause some problems :)

I didnt even realize it till looking at the picture for about 8 minutes.... :( lol

Another thing that i thought about is your headunit could be giving you a clipped signal.

I see you got a Kenwood, however on alpines the volume goes from 0 to 35 (and increases by 1), but the radios usally clip around volume 26-30.

What does your headunit volume go up too? and what volume is your full tilt?

no its a jvc 2v head unit it go to 50 but i usually ron it 38 to 42
