hey you guys..i got a jl 1000 and its a lil scratched up so i was thinking of painting together with a jl 450/4 paint them both black. but kinda cant decide wat to do cause if i paint them im going to loose the gains.settings.and in the front the jl audio logos and more importantly the warning lights..what do you guys suggest.

BUMP! i fixed the problem.. defective bass knob.. can someone help me tune my amp. dont know what all that is.. or how it should be tuned.. i got a jl 1000 slash series. not v2. any help.?

' i worked for a couple shops in the city and to my knowledge theres nothing like that out here.. not even thru shops.. no car clubs.. nothin.. all the bass racing.. and spl comps and even to get a meter is out of state...but thats just my 2 cents..any one else know of anything..

i had the same problem .. before i bought my impala got quoted 5000 a year.. for insurance..almost more than the car and shyt.. so i just ended up gettin the dealer insurance which wasnt at all bad.. now im 20 about to be 21 paying 165 a month for full coverage on a 06 impala ss .i thought it was a bit to much but as im seen on the replys sounds like i got a good deal..

im kinda new to jl but since they seem to do a couple things a lil diffrent was just wondering if they did something diffrent wit the bass knob cause i figured it was plug and play but idk.. doesnt seem to work..any help? p.s. i got a jl 1000.1 and the rbc i belive..bass knob.. just in case ..;p

hey you guys ..does anyone know where i can get a recone for a diamond audio d6 12?had a pair in the trunk but an unfortunate accident with the spare tire jack left not much but the cone and surround.. literally a new sub .payed too much to just let it go to waste.. been a paperweight for about a year now.. and was really hopin to see if i could get it fixed..

i got an 06 impala and naw u cant .. unless you mold the roof.. its not flat enough to fit the full 15 inches.. your better off wit a 10 or 12 inch..i was gunna do 3 12 inch.. but havent got around to it..so i cant tell you how good it would come out but if you do get it to work let me know i wanna see..

not 100 percent sure but think there is a maxxsonics somewhere locally..chicago that is..work for a shipping company and remember seeing a shipment from them somewhere around here..

actually i was tryin to do something like that but couldnt figure out a way to port the rear deck that big and well if it didnt exactly go thru it..i heard that it would sound like shit if i just cut an opening out from the trunk..is that just a standard ported enclosure?

i know im askin for alot by two. but some one told me to do a dual reflex. but i dont have enough knowledge to do all that.. dont know what would work best in a trunked car.. any suggestions.. a compression or reflex, bandpass enclosure..???

well actually i read the tutorial a while back but gotta look into it.and well ok i understand that you need alot of space but then what exactly would be a good recommendation as to what exactly would work better in a trunked car..looking to work wit two ,possibly three subs and something ported. possibly a compresion enclosure.. ?what you guys think? and thanks for the input..

hey you guys im looking to build a new box and was considering a t-line but dont really understand all the math to it.. so i was wondering if someone could help me out.im going to be using 2 diamond audio 12's m6's with a diamond audio 1500.1. don't exactly know whats needed for the enclosure but here are the specs.. Vb (net volume ft3) - 1.5 f3 (Hz) - 35 fb (tuning freq) - 31 Pe (watts) - 600 Ports - 1 Port I.D. - 4" Port Lengh - 18" dont really understand all that but was looking to fire the port up thru my rear deck and either face the speakers out towards the trunk or up underneath the deck the space i have to work with is about not exact but 40' long. 16 tall and 19 deep , for a 06 impala any help is appreciated..thanks you guys
