Me and James were metering with the TL tonight and I had been jamming for at least a good half hour, pretty hard too. Then the fuse on my TOP amp blew and I had a shower of sparks. I replaced the 300 amp fuse. I turned on the radio and made sure the volume was at 0. Then i turned my switch for the amps on, and I heard a noise and then saw SMOKE some from my one TOP amp.

I'm gonna call Rockford on Tuesday and see what they can do for me. I am not sure what went wrong. These amps have done GREAT for the 1.5 years I have had them, perhaps I just pushed them WAY too hard tonight. Regardless, I was expecting the PROTECT to turn on, oh well. Wish me luck on fix from them,

I'll keep everybody posted.

p.s. If anything good came out of this, I WAS holding a 150.X for about 1.5 minutes before it BLEW

my T1K did the same thing but my fuse never blew i turned it on this morning and it was in protect i hope they fix it pretty fast

check my build, i used the grommets the first time around. need to use some on both sides where you're puttin it. second time around i double layered the back side where the amps went, and put 6 layers of fatmat between the sheets of wood. the inside is braced nice and sexy on the inside also.

nice set-up! thats what im going to do for know but when it warms up im going to build into the sides of the trunk or a false floor cause i got to also find away to secure the box so it doesnt move around in the trunk
