  1. ive been using windows 7 for a while now, imo its got some better stability then vista as in it takes less memory, but now that ive had it a while im ready to go back to vista, i never had a problem with vista ever i just tryed win 7 just because i try everythign thats new.

X2 on trying the new stuff.

i just installed windows 7 tonight. and so far im liking it. I never liked vista at all. windows 7 looks alot like it, but its growing on me. anyone know the price it will cost to but the full version?

X2, same way, dunno on pricing yet, my guess will be the same as vistas original price is probably in the neighborhood...

I always had problems with vista ultimate, upgraded to windows 7 and what a difference it made. much faster and stable and alot of new features

I had Home Premium, and also never had a good time having to make things work, felt like I was jumping over to a BSD or Linux Distrobution...

I ran 7 beta for a while, liked it alot more than the vista

I like it, Ill switch, If I could afford a Mac, I'd switch to that instead...

ive been running windows 7 since about november of last year if not before that and i absolutely love it. it is incredibly stable and pretty efficient. I never had any problems with vista, but 7 is more efficient, which is why i use it.

    Again X2.

Im glad I decided to give it a try, I planned on running it for a few days then switch to a copy of XP64, and im just gonna stay.

  2. Their way of making you buy a copy...

Remember expiration dates: Please plan ahead for the Beta and RC expiration dates. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to rebuild your test machine using a valid version of Windows before the software expires. Windows will notify you that the expiration process is beginning and two weeks later your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. The Beta expires on August 1, 2009, and bi-hourly shutdowns will begin July 1, 2009. The RC will expire June 1, 2010, and the bi-hourly shutdowns will begin on March 1, 2010. In both cases, you’ll need to rebuild your test PC to replace the OS and reinstall all your programs and data.
  3. There is the Release Canidate 1 version of the new OS Windows 7 and I like it so much better than Vista, Ive been running XP since the first service pack came out for it. Vista came on this laptop and after it crashed and took away about $300 worth of website work, I have never gone back to it, The RC came out and I like it so far. The only thing is it starts shutting down every two hours after june or july. Corrected in my lower posts.

Upgraded to Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100, Its nice, Ill be upgrading to it when it comes out.

Desktop, No more text by the app Icons on the Start Bar.

If you hover over the icons, a live preview pops up and greys out the other windows if they are open.

If your watching a video in Media Player, It shows the video live too.

Start menu looks a lot alike to Vista, but its more customizable.

The icons by the time hide and show up in a popup like the live view of the windows.

  4. Thats what could save GM, but they are too damn stubborn. They keep producing SUVs at full tilt. We may never see the SS or Z28 thanks to their dumbasses. The only people who still buy SUVs are the ones who fill em up with 15s and 18s and lots and lots of watts. ;) Shoulda made a Chevy Prius that way I could drive a 09 SS. Guess I'll have to walk away from chevy in the next few years and become a foreign guy. I'll still die before I ever buy a FORD though. I'm thinkin orange though, but red is just as gorgous!

  5. A few options. You can take the spring mount on the frame and break off the rivets and weld the hanger up higher on the frame so the axle is closer to the frame. If you are willing to spend 40ish dollars go to Advance Auto Parts or O'Reilly and buy a drop shackle kit that replaces the stock shackle to lower the rear with a simple change of a few parts.

The way I would NOT do it is heat the springs with a torch until it sags low enough to your liking. You will lose suspension and ride integrity. Its just a bad Idea...
