Sounds good and it should be louder in the proper box if you want 2 ohms get dual 1s and wire the coils in series and you should be good to go.

Oh and as far as specs it would be almost the same but have a higher power handling and higher bl probadly about an extra 500 to 1000 watts and the extra coil mass would be made up by the higher bl and sensitivity but do not get more than 3 spiders unless you are strictly burping because of the motor force on the 4.

Get the level 4 recone with level 5 coil and 3 spiders and dual tinsels

I would say the dustcap is loose but it would make that noise all the time hmmm pull the sub and double check it make sure everything looks good and if so check the enclosure I had a box that 1 time made that sound around tuning I thought it was the sub come to find out the port wall had broke in a spot and was vibrating bad.

Whatwould you like to know going from a level 5 18 to a level 6 18 heath gained .9 db so it sounds louder lower and clearer also the level 5 was at 1.4 ohms and the level 6 was at 1.6 for daily ran off a powerbass 5000 the level 5 is a awesome sub and was the greatest sub I had ever heard until I heard the level 6 believe it or not the level 6 beats the level 5 in every way possible.

Haha yep you know it and also have you considered what ohm load you want I would say dual .7 for 1.4 daily and .35 for burps or dual 1 for .5 all the time.

I say 2 18s with a lot of port you might run into power compression issues still with 13000 watts per 4xl also if it does not matter what frequency make sure the wall is braced to hell and sealed off completely and tune to around 50 to 55 hertz.however wait on clay to respond he is the expert when it comes to walls

Ok the level 5 at 1.4 did a 147.3 at 52 hertz and the level 6 at 1.6 did a 148.1 so a .8 gain at a slightly higher impedence and at .4 he did a 152.5 at 52 hertz I don't know why but no matter the tuning or power his trunk car likes 52 hertz

Hopefully today he will have some I know at .4 he said he tapped out of his ride said he couldn't breath lol and at 1.6 it still has my ears ringing.

Ok so due 2 space constraints in my trunk opening I had I could not get my level 6 to fit (damn I'm pissed) so I call my boy heath over and of course it will fit in his so we install it in his car and right off the bat with no play time the level 6 dominated the level 5 (bare in mind up 2 this point the best subwoofer that I had ever heard was my level 5) I mean right off it was louder,lower and cleaner so all I can say is wow rusty you have a strait killer sub here and the reason for this topic is 2 gripe that it won't fit and 2 give user feedback about it if you can get 1 do yourself a favor and get it.
