  1. Why do people on youtube not believe that was tl meter on my 159.4???LOL I only compete USACI. I will admit its a good score for 46hz and 12000 clamped watts compared to alot of other people with walls and 20000 plus watts.Anyways now you see why I said get it on video so people dont question it.I have alot of people that will tell them they have witnessed it first hand at comps.

Who cares if Someone doesnt beleive you or not if you know for a fact its right. Then why do you care what someone else thinks ?

  2. x2.

run an extra ground as well. just from anywhere real quick to see if this helps. just because you have a good metal to metal contact doesn't mean its a good ground.

you can leave the ground you have now, just run a temporary one and see if it helps. sounds like bad connection somewhere, either ground or power.

also. what size fuse do you have? you might have to small of a fuse on your power wire for your amp. you should have a fuse at least the same amps (fuse rating) of the fuses in your amps.

if your amps have 60 amps worth of fuses then you should have at least that much on your power wire.

Its a 80 Amp fuse on amp I got a 100 amp fuse its a 1600 watt amp Mono and I will try that stuff thanks all. Anyone know where I can get a good set of a 1/0 Wire set for low price ?

  3. I dont know exactly how to explain this I have tried everything I can think of plus what you all have said. But none of it seems to work so i will take one more chance to explain it in hopes that someone has had it happened to them.

Ok when I turn up the Volume on the Radio to high witch is not very high, the Amp lights dimmen and the speaker cuts in and out its not clipping it either. And the lights on the truck dont dimmen when the amp does so does this mean bad connection on Wire ? I sanded ground down and replaced wire. and checked fuses and all nothing changes changed head unit got a new one and got new RCA's everything. Only thing left is to change out Power wire.

I noticed today when I was checkin power wire it was corroaded on the battery terminal where the wire is hooked to connecter maybe this was a clear , problem not sure it isnt bad corroison but I dont know how much it takes to make it not work. And thats the only thing I can think of I am thinking of running the 1/0 gauge New wire to the Red box on my truck like FiBL4life had his.

Thanks and Sorry for any repost!

  4. ok cool its not the sub ya just got atleast.and if ya tried two dif amps and two dif subs and the prob is the same then id say triple check it all. a ground could of losened up some over time or something. its not the HU, its not the sub, and its prob not two bad amps so it leaves the wiring. never hurts to check it out again and even take off the ground to rub a lil sandpaper on the metal to make sure thats good for sure too. it might take a min to figure out but sounds like your gettin closer :D id say soon though man

Thanks Guys maybe I will just put it all in my caddy instead i just hate it cause its in the trunk and seems to muffle the sound out to me. But looks like that might have to be what I have to do.

Can I make the Caddy hit in the 140ish area like the truck or is it gonna go down cause it ins the trunk ??

  5. maybe you just don't know how to wire it up or set the gain cause you can still get away with 4 guage on a 1600 watt amp, i don't necessarily think that would cause what you are describing that is happening

by if anyone disagrees by all means go ahead i could be wrong but i'm just sayin

LMAO I know how to wire it up just fine have you not read the post I had 2 12" Audios in before this Fi with a 500.2 Kicker amp on them was hitting fine then. So

  6. if the amp dims and ya changed amps with the same car and wiring id think it would be bad ground or in the wiring some how.... or the sub. have you tried a dif sub on the same amps to see if it was dif?

Yeah i hooked up the Fi then the JL's both do the same thing so its not the sub, and the ground is the same ground place I been useing on the Kicker amp and 2 12"s so I dont think its the ground I was thinking more like the Power wire is to small maybe cause its 4 gauge and my amp is a 1600 watt amp ?

  7. check ur magnet and make sure everything is straight. i know that sounds weird but i had the same problem with a mojo.

Well bought a brand New Head Unit and still does it , what the hell can it be it does it on both speakers and amps I know both them cant be messed up . Its down to Wireing Power wire is 4 gauge do I need to go to 0 gauge Remote wire does it have anything to do with it ? I done checked everything else, The amp dimmens could it be the amp ? But then again it does the same thing with my Kicker Amp also and it has always worked fine. It has happen since I first hooked it up so there is something I am missing ?

    RCA check

    Amp checked

    radio checked bought new one

Does it have anything to do with the speaker wires being to small there like 16 gauge or 12 gauge one or the other

Useing a 16 gauge Speaker wire for Remote can that have anything to do with it ?

I am trying everything I am determined to get it working and hitting hard. PLZ HELP

  8. Is there any way it could be my Headunit. I have heard of CD players doing this ?

Reason I say this is cause when we hooked it up to his amp we put his amp in my truck so that means it could possabley be the Head Unit right , maybe. I am gonna hook up my JL Audios to the same amp and see brb.

WOOHOO the JL's are doing it to so that means its gotta be Head Unit right seeing how it does it with both amps right and speakers ? Or am I missing something

  9. ask your friend to re-do it and write the numbers down for each coil to make sure if its blown or not.

when i had my Punch 2 shipped to me in a regular thin cardboard box and 5 newspaper pages in it for cushioning, it still works 100%. so i dunno how rough UPS handled it

Ok I do that , cause he is telling me to resend it back to him but I rather keep the speaker and just have it reconed if that will fix it, its not his fault for UPS fukin it up . They should fix it if thats what is wrong with it we will find out for sure Monday, I gonna take it to Memphis with me when I go and have them hook it up over there.

  10. yes thats a dmm. what were the numbers if you remember?

No clue he showed it to me then said something that it needs to being reading shomething and went into talking speaker ratios. lol my ideal of not lamens terms and I was lost I just said yeah and said I would just get it fixed cause he was laughing at me the whole time being an ass..lol you know how friends can be giveing hard time and all.

  11. theres always a chance that they're both wrong.

like i said before, get a multi meter and check the coils.

Well my buddy took out some kinda probs and checked the speaker he said it was blown I am still not set in my way about that cause sometimes things read wrong or go wrond with anything just like everything else in life..lol

Dont ask me what it is that he used cause I have no clue it reads in black digital letters whatever it is, he was saying stuff but I really didnt understand it He said if I know the guy is honest then just talk to the UPS people maybe they would take care of it ?

  12. I bought a used 12" Fi Bl speaker and I beleive the guy who says it was fine when it left cause I been talking to him over the phone but When I hooked it up it sounded like it was blown? You turn the volume up and its like its clipping. Amp litght dies down and the speaker sounds like its skipping excursion alot. He says its the Fuse so I change the fuse he says it could be small ground so I changed it also and its still doing same thing. Buddy came and hooked it up so his amp and it does the same thing, He then takes some probs of some sort and hooks to the speaker and says its blown. Is UPS responable for this because like I said I beleive the guy. And I dont know whats wrong with it but what I am told I am no Audio xpert and I have no clue why its doing what it is doing. He also said its the box witch is tuned to 17hz but what I been told is the box being tuned low want do that it would have to be tuned high to hurt it. Any help anything that I could be missing here at all I am desperate. ?
