  1. just remember to design the enclosure correctly. the sub has a really stiff suspension, and a really strong motor. you will want to make sure you have lots of internal volume, and lots of port area, to let that sub move as freely in the enclosure as possible, and get the air circulating to help cool the coils. you know, just the typical stuff.

  2. just depends. its the same as any other sub. burnt coils, slinky coils, burnt tinsels, all common types of thermal failure. as with any sub, an incorrect enclosure will increase the risk of thermal failure. but the solo-x in itself, is not any more prone to thermal failure than any other sub.

    aight is there anything i could do to make sure that doesnt happen or give me a better chance of that not happening

  3. of all the testing ive done with the new ones, the only way the hold power better is that the cones wont break in the smaller spl boxes people use in crx's and stuff. it makes no difference as far as thermal failure goes.

    what do you mean by thermal failure?
