let me guess, your subs are D4.. and you wired them down to 1 ohm correct?

    d4 what? no hifonics olympus 4800 watts 2400rms 2vc 2ohm each and i did each ch/ at 1ohm

  2. so why would it do that?

i have a 211 amp alt, a yellow top up front, a kinteict hc2400 in back, big 3 in 2g wire, 0g wire to batt in back and amp, 30fared in back, and im pushing 2 hifonics olympus 15".

What brand alternator? Ditch the cap.

    powermaster

  3. so why would it do that?

  4. What kind of budget do you have? What kind of electrical do you have? What kind of amps do you have to power the subs? What kind of vehicle do you have?

Those are generally the basics on what people will need to know to help you with that :P

    1991 Chevy S10 Blazer

    1xpower acoustik PTID-5300

    2xHifonics xxv olympus 2400wrms

    1xHifonics xxv colossus 3200wrms

    1xKinetik HC2400 in the back

    1xNitro 2 farad

    1xHifonics zeus 6.5" component

    1xHifonics zeus 5.25" component

Kicker 0g from front to back batt

    1xEldbrok 211 amp alternator

  5. u gotta be more specific man. haha.

what kind of budget? you looking for more than one sub? what kinda power you lookin to run? u tryin to wall it off?

no im not trying to wall it off im going to stay in stock class for now. I don't know like 7000wrms.

  6. 1 sub or 2?

152dB dbdrag legal is gonna be a big effort like that. If you have 1 sub your box is too big, if you have 2 subs you don't have enough port area...

    I have 2 sub's and you don't think that 2 6" port's are not enough. how come?

  7. what subs, what amps, how much power, how big is the box and what size are the subs

There are hifonics olympus 15" with a Hifonics XXV-COLOSSUS

Ultra Class D MonoBlock / 2-Channel Hybrid Amplifier with Bass Remote With 3200rms at 1 ohm. the box is 5.4 ft3 the pors are to the back of my 1991 chevy s-10 blazer. sorry about that guy's.

  8. I want something like this.

    file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Nathan/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/box%20pic.bmp

That is the top view; and i checked my space in my blazer and it is 33" depth/ 37" wide/ and 16" tall. but i want to leave about 7" on the side for my spare. so about 30" wide. And if the pic dose not work it's like the box that steven mead for that explorer on the built page, but with 2 port's. and yes you are clearing some stuff up for me. See i know alot about sub's amp's and wiring, but not to much with boxes.

Ok i read more about the vented box design in the book and it said that the box volume are internal and already include subwoofer and port displacement. BOX VOLUME 3.5 CUBIC FEET

    FB 50 HZ

    PORT (HEIGHT) 15.5"

    PORT (WIDTH) 3.5"

    PORT (LENGTH 18"

    F3 40 HZ

But what is better lower Hz or higher Hz?
