It looks like the caseing for all their alternators are the same. It may be a pain for some tight space and ford installs.

I was searching through ebay and came across this company that makes and sells high output alts.

There products don't produce high numbers like other alt manafactures on here(Biggest I saw was 190 amps). But I guess they will be good if you are on a tight budget and need some extra power. Has anyone purchased from them before? How good where they alts?

Well actually went to a website and created the hat just to see the cost, and it kind of scared me. It was 85 dollars for one, but as you buy more and more of course it gets cheaper.

I like idea 4. But it will cost way more to make different size fitted hat than just one size adj velcro. I for one will grap a couple of hats if they ever go into production.

You need to tell us your headunit or gain doesn't help us.
You need a bigger alt, it takes power to make it, plus I would look at a better rear battery

I have had my my 3000d since Feb. back when I was pushing a pair(2) of 12'' L7s. I never got hot. Just recently I have changed my subs to a pair(2) of 15'' DD 9500. Now my amp get hot. It went thermal once. I have the gain set at alittle over a half. Bass Boost to zero, Phase to zero, and subsonic all the way down. What would cause my amp to heat up? Do my subs need more power? Am I not giving my amp enough power? I still have a stock alt at the moment(I ordered a bigger alt with 200 amps). Two retop optimas. One has the main starting and the other in the trunk. I already did the big three. Any suggestions would really help.

My 3000d came with a wired remote bass boster knob. Why question is did any other sundown models come with a wired gain controller? If so can they be used on the 3000d?

Our family doesn't have any crime in it.................... we're just stupid lol I have a relative that lost 2 fingers 2 a gas powered washing machine and was showing someone how he did it and he lost a 3rd!

theres 2 of them locally that are the 7kd knockoff, they look the same as the pics ive seen of the stetsoms. guys had those matrix for a little over a year now though.
What are they going for price wise?

It was hell trying to squeeze those 15" in a Lexus. I had to assemble the box inside the trunk.

Nice score, what size sub(s) and how many? Which way do you have them firing?
I got 2 9515 firing foward. To be honest I was expecting a bigger number. I guess I need more power going to the subs. They are a hungry pair.

Well luck was not on my side. :mad: I did not make it to the show. I fell at work and injured my knee! I was leaving work for the day. I was walking to my car and slipped on some motor oil that someone dumped in the trash can outside( I work for a autoparts store). The oil must have leaked from a hole on the bottom of the trash barrel or something. So I am stuxk at home with sprain/twisted MCL or some shit. So I missed out on this event. But there will be others. Anyway here is my pic that I took with my cell phone.
After some tuning and messing with the line driver, I hit 150.2db at 49 hertz. But no pic cause my buddy hit the reset button. Like I said there will be another event. I will be there even if I have to crawl on my stomach to get there.
