Its only 10 bucks, so it cant hurt. Could have just been a bad one you got, I haven't had any problems with mine, robs right though. Its definitely not the nicest piece of hardware.

FIRST UP:
Alpine MRP-500
300w at 4ohms
500w at 2ohms
Mechanically: 10/10
Physically: 9/10
This amp is solid, never once had a problem with it and pushed my 15's pretty hard for only 500wrms.
Price: $100 SHIPPED
Second:
Stinger 4gauge HPM Series (about 4 feet of blue and grey so 8ft all together.) With an Audiopipe waterproof fuse holder with 100amp ANL fuse in. (will separate holder and wire) Never used.
Price: $20 plus shipping, OBO
Third:
Stinger 1 Farad cap with voltage meter and 4 gauge in/out
