  1. Thanks guys. If I can find some good affordable heads I would love to upgrade. Also on the to do list is headers and cam shaft. So next I am going to get it painted, but before I do that I still have to decide if I am going to keep the opera lights, and I was thinking of a cowl hood. The car is going to be painted dark green again. For the suspension I only have the air on the rear, it has front torsion bars, so I haven't decided if I am going to cut and bag the front or put something like an air cylinder in there. lots of choices and lots of work to be done.

  2. A while back a friend of mine past away and left me his 1975 Chrysler Cordoba. It ran, but wasn't in perfect shape. the vinyl top was faded and cracking, the paint was worn and you could see lots of primer, seats were ripped and faded, rims were rusted over. But the car ran great, and was completely stock. My friend loved this car, i love this car. I am trying to restore it. I'm no mechanic, but I'm learning ALL of this as I go. Some stuff I am doing right, some it takes a few tries. Here we go

First up had to do some work on the engine. Stock 360ci with 2barrel carb. I took the stock intake manifold off, and upgraded to a Weiand high rise with a Holley 4 Barrel Carb, and chrome dress up

A lot of body work is needed before paint. (Yellow was the only filler primer they had)

  3. I made a couple videos, cause i havent done anything with my system in forever.

Met this guy and gave him a demo. Its an old Sony Cyber shot 3.2 megapixel camera. The video quality is getting worse with just about every video i make.

Seen Steves new video of breaking a CD. I was wondering if mine could. I had to try it. Nothing close to what Steves did, but it got the job done.

    First attempt

Another CD... took a minute but i got it

I realize i started with a DVD and when i dropped it, i picked up a CD. Still broke it. :)

But no it looks like there is glitter all over in my car. I broke a couple CDs, it was fun.

Anyone else try this with a CD? post it up

  4. I have been running Two XL 15"s off a American Bass VFL500.1. They each have about 3 cubes tuned to 35 hertz. They handle it just fine. I Love it.

How many inches of port per cube do u have?

I use two 6" Tubes(no flares, yet). I forgot how long they are...Its been a while since i made it. I dont get to talk about my system much cause i dont know anyone with a "real System". I only get to talk about the specs on here.

I have cut the amp rack down to free up the port. Just need to take it all the way down, flare the ports, and seal it off.

  5. I have been running Two XL 15"s off a American Bass VFL500.1. They each have about 3 cubes tuned to 35 hertz. They handle it just fine. I Love it.

My xl 15'' is on its way right now. I'm getting a large amp more than likely but it's not going to be ran full tilt. I'll throw no less than 3k to it though. Im wondering with the box tuned at 35 like that does it hit the lows in the 25-28hz range pretty well or what? Just trying to figure out where to tune mine.

Not trying to thread jack OP just asking dude a question :peepwall:

I try not to play too below my tuning frequency. It plays GREAT 36-40 hertz. I dont think i have played any 25-28 tones.

  6. I have tried googling this. I looked up the info on the slipper clutch. and i havent seen anything like that on my car... I might not be looking very well. I would think if it was that i would not move at all. But I still move in first, and it can move pretty well. I know its not the breaks, it moves easily in first. I dont know if i would want to lock it into first... seems like that might break something real easy Thanks for the help guys.

  7. does that tranny have the adjustable set screw to adjust when it goes into second gear? almost seems like a set screw is loose or not adjusted right like i mentioned

If so i dont know where or what it looks like

i have a savage 26 and it used to do that... check to make sure the bell housing and clutch are put together right...i didnt have the screw on tight enough and it would pop out but when i would check it it moved back in place...i just held it in the air and full throlled it to actually see it happen

Are you talking about the screw that holds the bell housing on? When i first put it together it was too tight and would move, then a shop put a spacer in and told me it was good. They said the bell housing has to have a little play in it.

  8. I have a Ofna Hyper One Seven 7th scale street car with a 2 speed and reverse. It sat for a while, i replaced the engine and now when it shifts into first gear it acts like neutral, engine revs but wont move. Any thoughts?

I took the transmission and gear box apart and everything looks good, the one way bearing in the larger gear seems to lock on properly. Other then that i cant find the issue.

Here is a vid of what it does. sorry crappy video, it got dark fast and i didnt plan ahead.

  9. Holly crap you can get 13 cubes in the trunk of a corolla? Damn!! My Monte Carlo I barely got over 6 cubesin the trunk, and I built it inside the car

How do you go about doing that? How would you fasten the wood together, in parts where the trunk covers the box?

When I built mine I was able to put the top, bottom and side on, had to use a hammer to get it in the car. Them Ihad to put the baffle and back on. I have a build log on here, but it's not anything pretty.

  10. Damn I was just in Vegas. We were there for my best friends wedding at Ballys. We are still driving back up to Marysville. Wish he had time to check out CES(and a lot more)

damn bro nothin like flyin haha.....1 hr and 15 minutes vs. 10 hours LOLZ.

True. We left at 2PM and we are just now at by the CA 198 exit near Hanford at 8:30pm. Still a way to go. :(

But for 3 of us it was MUCH cheaper to drive vs fly.
