so the extra battery wont hurt the alt alot

ok I have an 01 tahoe with a red top starting battery but im thinking of getting an optima yelllow or powermaster for the rear batt. The alt is 250 amps from db electrical. I still have the stock alt

Is 125 amps a good idle

Does anybody know where I can get battery terminals that will take 2 1/0 gauge wires.
