  1. Ok so I am looking at getting a new truck. I found one that I love and I know the owner personally as he is who sponsors me for ATV racing.

Anyways it is a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 extended cab Z71 4wd with 130k miles, 3in lift, 20" wheels, 38" tires, 3" exhaust, no cats, stage 2 programmer, cold air intake, and a small system along with a CD player. Also has a toolbox. Overall the truck is really nice and clean. As far as I know this truck has never really been in mud, never seen it muddy and this guy keeps it EXTREMELY CLEAN! Anyways I'm seriously looking at it but he never gave me a price and don't want to insult him. I'll try to get some pics soon.

    Thanks

  2. So I had a 1999 Polaris Sportsman 500 that I wound up wrecking a few years back. Ended up fixing it ($600 + my labor). Then traded it for a bone stock 2001 Honda 400ex with some 22" vampire tires.

Then got into riding at the track and just now got into racing.

Just installed is a set of tag handlebars, tether kill switch, ez-pull clutch lever, new clutch cable, K&N air filter, parking brake block off, and my most prized part so far is the set of AC Racing nerfs with heel guards and pro pegs. These nerfs are SEXY.

  3. Anyone have some tips/hints for painting?

I have a 1988 S10 Blazer that I am working on. Going to be painting it soon.

Here is some pictures from the other day.

Worked on it today since I finally got it into the shop at school which is where it's new home will be until it is painted.

Started removing parts. Roof racks, grille, headlight trim, wheel well trim, etc. Hope to get the bumpers and front left fender off tomorrow. (Front left fender is getting replaced).

  4. The first 15-20 minutes or so it wasn't too bad but after that the pain kicked in....I was cussing left and right, couldn't stand still....

Stitches are now coming out, like I said its been about two weeks. Haven't been able to do too much at all with my left hand, you don't realize how much you do with your hands until you have an injury and then a lot of things you normally do, you can't. Finger is still really tender but hopefully it is fully healed within another week or so.

  5. Well this happened in the automotive shop at school. (High School). We have had this one lift (out of 3) that the locks weren't adjusted properly so we always had to reach our hand up and pull it out manually while someone on the other side pulled the lever and lowered the cars. Well about 2 weeks ago (was on a wed) I was pulling the latch out as I always do and the kid pulling the lever didn't pull it enough so when the car lowered, the locks went out then right back in with my finger. Had to get 7 stitches....NOT FUN

I ended up holding my finger for about an hour before I got to the promt care to get stitches.

Here is some pics...NOT FOR THE WEAK STOMACH

    Before stitches...

  6. Sent you a PM yesterday saying it was shipped via UPS Ground/Insured. I had to get my mom to do it for me as with school, work and babysitting I had no way to get to UPS. When she gets home tomorrow from work I will get the tracking # from her.

Alright amp is shipped. I planned on getting it shipped Tuesday but then wound up having to babysit with no ride to the UPS, then Wed I wound up having an incident in my automotive class in which I had to go and get stitches put in my finger, couldn't drive for two days, stuck on the damn yellow bus. If you really are worried about it I will show you pics/scan the medical papers...I apologize for the wait and will be sending you some $ via PP as soon as more hits my account. I'm not trying to hide anything here...If you have any questions you can e-mail me (way easier for me as I'm hardly ever on the PC).

    *Sending a PM*

  7. wasnt impressive at all ...being from the computer industy, its actually kinda pointless, theres really nothing xbox about it left...ive always thoguht the case modding community was rather pointless

I'm with you on this one....waaay too much work for just a computer case. Cool and all but I would rather go and spend $100 on a computer case....

  8. Ok so I am currently using a Motorola Razr V3t. I have had it for about 2 years now and between me dropping it, having an ATV wreck, and other things the front screen is all cracked (still works but cracked) and it's just an old phone. Looking for a new phone and came across the BlackBerry Curve 8900 from T-Mobile (my current provider) for $150 with a 2 year agreement. The thing is, I don't want to sign onto a BB plan, I already have unlimited texting and my dad has a BB also that he got from a friend and since it has wi-fi we can do stuff at the house and at restaurants or wherever wi-fi is at. Anyways what do you guys think of it?

    Pros? Cons?

    Thanks

  9. I have no sympathy for those that got banned. I own 2 Xbox 360's and every game I have I bought from the store...Sure $60 is a bit much but beats the heck out of being banned. To those of you that pirate the games, oh well. About time you guys got caught. I bet if you guys made something and someone else was "stealing" it you would be mad also because you wasn't getting the money.

  10. So we bought a 2003 VW Beetle convertible back in 03 when it was brand new. Automatic transmission. The vehicle has 61,000 miles on it. Anyways the transmission has been slipping at times and downshifts REALLY hard. Took it to the dealer, couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I drove it and got the mechanic to ride with me, and he says "OH yeah I see what you mean now". So they decided to take a look at it. Few days later and no call, I call up and ask them what is going on. They then start telling me I need a new transmission. Guess how much!?

    $2500? NO (I WISH!)

    $3500? NOPE!

    $5000? NOPE!!!!

    Ready for this? $7000!!!!!

$6500 for the trans and the rest is labor/fees.

    Sorry rant over....

Time to start searching around for another shop or do this myself.

  11. A agree, about 3 months ago my neighbor died, we knew he wasnt in good shape but him and his wife moved to a nursing home so we never saw them anymore and my cousin is dispatcher at the FD. He was always letting us know how he was doing because he volunteered at the fire department for over 30 years and they FORCED him to retire. He passed away and didn't find out for another month....Sucks not seeing him outside cutting his grass and all because I saw him outside working in the yard a few times a week....
