  1. I said I was trying to go all out without breaking the bank... that amp would break my bank... sure I'd have a nice as hell amp, but no subs to match with it.. plus the BL's wont take 4000 watts. The t20001bd will give me close to 3000 rms to work with and I will be perfectly fine with that.
  2. After thinking so much about my next system, how much I want to spend, decision on a car and so on I have finally decided what I really want to do (no bullshit)... GO ALL OUT without breaking my bank too too much since I'm only 19 and this is going to take long enough as it is.... So picture this..... 1998-2000 Honda Civic/Accord Coupe.....Rip out the back seats and build a fuckin' wall I am really really wanting to do this because absolutely no one around my area has anything like this and I want to be completely different and original when I get this system... So with that being said how does this sound?? (2) 18" FI BL's dual 1-ohm (all options), powered by (1) RF T20001bd @ 1ohm?? Dont exactly know the space I am going to have, but I would like to make it like 14-18 cu. ft or so after sub displacement, bracing, port ect.. I am excited as hell to get this underway FI+RF=the sex. opinions/ideas???
  3. I hear you there for sure... I'm doing the same haha. you might wanna go big and do 15's with that big ass trunk.. haha.
  4. sounds like a plan man have any plans for it now yet?? subs, amps?? I'm 19 and planning to do FI, Rockford in an Accord within the next 6 months or so... I would love to get my hands on a Caddy like you got though....
  5. hell yea nice car w/ only 70000 miles!!! thats unheard of for a 95. And the best thing is you got PLENTY of trunk space to work with... looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
  6. You guys know what the difference makes if I get a BL w/ extreme leads or not?? and what the difference is between daily and and SPL?? Is it a good idea to get SPL even if I will be running them daily?? or just go with the daily??
  7. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161
  8. Oh really? that sounds easy enough.. so i really wont have to worry about the bd sync cable i saw on their site at all?
  9. I am thinking to do (2) t10001's for my next setup instead of (2) MTX 1501d's I'm Planning (2) FI BL 15's fully loaded.... I am wanting to run each 15 off it's own amp... I was wondering how I would run both amps off 1 bass knob like Meade's setup?? I saw something on Rockford's site saying something about a bd sync cable, is for strapping them??or is that what I will need or something different???? thanks in advance fellas.
  10. FI doesn't sell dual 4's, but good addition.
  11. wow. my bad i didn't mean to type that I meant... (1) dual 2 ohm woofer will wire to 1 ohm (2) dual 2 ohm woofers will wire to .5 and 2 ohms (1) dual 1 ohm woofer will wire to 2 ohms hope thats easier to read. Box rise wont make it 1.5 though...
  12. You will have to do dual 2 ohm woofers if youre getting 2 to get a 1 ohm load. Not dual 1 ohm If youre going to do a single woofer do a dual 2 ohm and it will wire to a 1 ohm load.
  13. I bought plenty of things from there too.... they were very easy to work with and pretty fast shipping as well... good luck with the purchase... You'll love that amp, i had one in some of my earlier installs and they are very powerful.
  14. As soon as I get the car I am going to get some measurements and fill you fellas in.... But I already do have 2 plans for the box......(2002 Accord Coupe) One would be subs up, port back (don't say trunk cars don't sound good that way, because I did an install in one of my friend's 2000 civics who moved away w/ JL W3V2 15's like that and it absolutely pounded) If I decide to do it this way I would most likely make the box 14" tall (give or take) x 30" wide (give or take) x 35" deep (give or take) = ~6.91 cubic feet before bracing And if someway the 15's will fit subs back, port back.... I am thinking to make the box 16.5" tall x 30"wide (give or take) x 30" deep (give or take) = ~7.05 cubic feet before bracing. I am going to be constructing the box out of 3/4" MDF with plenty of bracing inside.. Opinions??
  15. They are going to be powered by their own MTX 1501d. They will have more than enough power and then some.
  16. yea man i love mtx amps b/c of the dual cooling fans and they are always underrated. I cant wait to get this underway.... it is going to be a little while, but I am going to try and be patient. I don't want to spend money and find out that I could have gotten something better for just a little more money. I am going to go with these amps for sure... As for the subs are concerned....its either going to be (2) FI BL 12's or (2) FI BL 15's.... I would like to go with the 15's because they are going to give me alot more output and can probably take a little more watts, but I am worried about space... I'm thinking to change my mind on my car choice again though.... I was looking for a 2003-2004 Honda Accord Coupe, but now looking for something like a 2001-2002 Accord Coupe because the trunk size in these things are a lot bigger and it seems that I will be able to get a bigger box in the 2001-2002 which would probably allow me to get (2) 15's in there...... Check out the pictures and they will explain themselves.... 2005 Honda Accord Coupe Trunk..... 2002 Honda Accord Coupe Trunk..... Let me know what you think fellas......
  17. I used to own (3) 12" JL W3v3s powered by (1) MTX 7801 Amp and ran them @ 900 watts in a custom box tuned to 36 hz in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I want to do (2) 12" FI BL's. I am kind of hesistant because my JL's were extremely loud and I don't want to buy something that is going to be less loud just because thats not my style and I couldn't stand paying so much money and then they turn out to be less loud... My question is do you fellas think that the (2) 12" BL's, each powered by it's own MTX Elite TE1501d @ 2 ohms (around 1300 watts or more most likely per sub) be as loud or louder as the (3) JL's??? I have heard that FI's get extremely loud, but I need opinions. They will be put into a custom box tuned to 32 hz around 2.5 cubes per sub. Most likely installed into a 2003-2004 Honda Accord Coupe. Thanks in advance fellas. I look forward to hearing your opinions.
  18. I know Pictures would be awesome... I am still working on getting a job and finding the car still though...... I am beginning to like the 2003-2004 Honda Accord Coupe a lot more than the Civics now though..... Trying to find one in my price range w/ 5 speed manual and 4 cylinder.... Will surely post pics with what I have to work with when it all comes....its so hard being patient... especially being only 19..... Something like this is what I'm looking for....

  20. Well fellas, I'm back on the forum and anxious to finally get another system in my car. As many of you might know I used to have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with (3) 12" JL Audio W3V3s (300 watts each) powered by an MTX 7801 running at 1.33 ohms @ 900 watts until I had a mishap back in October. This setup is going to be a lot bigger than what I have had in the past and I think I am going to be amazed after its all said and done. What do you guys think? How much different do you think this system will sound? Better? Louder? To start off. . . . 2003 Honda Civic Coupe (2) 12" FI BL's fully loaded dual 2-ohm (1) Kicker ZX2500.1 (1) Custom Enclosure @ 32hz.
