  1. Where did you get your resin?

Im having a hard time finding the "right" stuff...

If you got it from a hardware store can you possibly give me a link...

Or can anyone at all give me a link to some at homedepot.com

Im basically a complete noob to buying anything resin related, i did it with my grandpa a few years back, but i didnt have to buy any of it.

He had some expensive shit from a boating store

Just ask where the fiberglass is. its usually with the paint or plumbing.

  2. Hey everyone, Im new to the forum and figured I would ask and see if i could get any help....

Me and my buddy are putting a system in his 2008 silverado regular cab we took the middle seat out and stuffed a box he had in one of his cars in it (the box that the audio shop sells you and acts like its perfect for that sub and since it has a hole in it its with out a doubt louder than a sealed that they sell right next to it ) well I havent done this stuff much but i know the right port can make a world of difference...

His has a port thats lie maybe 3inches wide and its fairly long... But it seems like the sub should be louder to me... I have a box with a 6-8 inch port in a blazer another friend did up for me and it seems louder than that sub in the truck...

The speaker is a matrix ( perty beefy sub ) and a matrix 1000 watt amp....

We are planning on building a new box the box will be a lil bigger so the inside will have more area... what can i do to make this thing louder.....Should i increas the size of the port and keep the same length or what could be a simple fix.... It seems to not play deep notes like it should be able to....

Also... how should we place the port and sub on the box should we do both facing rear speacker facing forward and port out back or what would have the best outcome... thanks for yalls help.... any pointers would be appreciated

More details man, box dimensions and port dimensions.

But prefab boxes are ALWAYS tuned high.

  3. 03, the reason i need a new one is this one has a chunk taken out of the corner and one of the posts on the back broke off, otherwise i would repaint an reuse it... thanks for the help!

Well I gave him a call earlier with no answer, I'll call again tomorrow. But if he has one I'll give it to you for free, just pay whatever the shipping is.

  4. anyone have one? i need it for my rebuild... pm me if you do thanks~Tim Carr

Mine looks about the same size. measurements?

Edit: Actually pictures of measurements so i can measure exactly like you do.

  5. bump again. sorry/

i didnt want to make a new thread so ill post my qestion here.

    ok here it is.

    i have a port that is W 4.5" H 32.5" L 20" with this i have a tune of 34.4hz

    box is H30 W46 D14

    Question

    - can i do half of each height nd width nd length and with that make two slot ports and have the same tune or will it be different?

    example

    Height 32.5" = 16.25"

    width 4.5" = 2.25

    length 20" = 10"

    thanks

    -CHRIS

    Big no.

  6. Ceramic Tile and adhesive. Make the box a lot sturdier and might look good at the same time.. hehe

or use the floating wood flooring stuff and glue it to the enclosure. That way you'll get a nice stained wooden floor look. People might want to walk on you box though.

i can give you the hookup on wood floor. i have an entire garage full of that shit. its oak too.

You can have it if you pay shipping.
