    no, it is not.

    Well it stayed pretty cool at .25 ohms for about an 30mins, so no complaints here. And you always hate on Audiopipe, take a chill pill man, people like what they like, and if you have the money to spend on AQ and higher quality products, then more power to ya.

    But for people on a budget, Audiopipe is amazing.

    no the 2 sets at 2 ohm will drop it to 1 ohm

    Well its working fine now with them in series.

    I'll rewire them all sometime this week after i get some more speaker wire. i have about 4 feet left.

    But thank you armyguy. Saved me a hell of a lot of head scratching and an enormous face palm.

    LOL .25 is crazy low huh, but yeah wire each set of 4 up to 2 ohms and then run them together will get you 1 ohm, or you can wire them all together to get 1 ohm

    So the two sets of 4 at .5 ohms, when put in series will make 1ohm?

    Thank god, thats way easier than rewiring all 8 subs..

    have you checked your ohmload at the amp with a ohm meter? you could have had wired them to .25 ohms because if they are d4 you could wire 4 and 4 like this

    but if you wired them like

    4_4ohm_dvc_2ohm.gif

    per 4 will make all 8 1 ohm load

    if you had it wired the other way, your looking at .25

    GOOOODDDAMMIT!

    I have them ALL wired parallel.

    So if i took the 2 sets of four and put them in series, would that put it at 1ohm?

    you realize the 3000d is the same as 2 1500s right?

    back on topic

    have you did the big 3? get your batts checked? check all your wiring? check your ohm load thats going to the amp? you could have wired it too low or have a wiring issue with the sub

    Yup. Big 3 in 2/0 welding cable.

    Doesnt drop below 12.4

    Sounds electrical to me

    I double and triple checked everything.

    It could be arcing on a sub terminal. But i dont want to check 16 connections at the moment.

    voltage or when i had my ap 3000d it wasnt 1 ohm stable??? maybe the same for 8000d, thats why i have 2 1500d, rock yo world :)

    Nope. 1 Ohm stable.

    Got my new ap 18001d hooked up and it definitely pounds.

    But if i have the bass up more than half way the stupid thing goes into protect every time theres a punch in the bass line.

    No my gains aren't maxed out

    Bass boost is off.

    subsonic at 30hz

    Bass boost frequency is all the way down.

    I cant figure it out.

    POOP.

    Any idears?
