  1. if you truly have anything over about 400hp you should be able to lay tracks till the tread burns off without a break stand. i had an old K5 once with about 400-450 and with the posi and 35" tires i could do a rolling start and at about 3k the back would break loose. if i happened to be in a turn it was all bad. So if you want to back up your claim vids of performace are a must. and a naturally aspirated all engine 600hp BBC. you would have to have really high compression and about 106-114 octane to run right. also the stock diameter exhaust and iron manifolds not worthy of breathing needs.

My k5 used to lay down tracks pretty good on 33's after i dropped the 355 chevy crate engine in it.

But with the stock 3.55 gears i cant do it on the 35's

    It's rated at 425hp on 109 octane

And i've never put less than 91 one in it.

But last time i went to floresville i put some VP race fuel in it..

    DAMN. Nuff said.

  2. ya i understand but it is just door speakers, not like theyre creating a great amount of force.

i guess i jus wouldnt waste the time of soldering them, but thats me

I just had to redo 2 of my speakers last week because they would crackle when i hit a bump. Turns out the TAPE came off and the TWIST loosened up. I soldered them this time.

Wish i would have soldered to begin with..

Definitely not a "waste" of time.

  3. thanks dude! ill have to stop by there on my day off, this seems more plausible then super glue like i was originally planning lol

No problem! Make sure you do some tests first. its a little tricky.

And sand where you are joining it together.

And lastly and most importantly, use the exact same type of plastic as your filler.

edit: here, this should help. ^_^

  4. Hahaha Mic Must of been in someone elses car  Those subs aint too bad though i have 2 of them in a 4.9 cu ft. box with a koiiler 420 watt max amp.. Yup maybe 100 rms? For $32 subs and $20 amp i'd say its tearing up the car quite nicely got the 3rd brake light flexing.. Didnt think i would need dynamat on a $100 system :clapping: .. My first post on the SMD forum by the Way, Just introducing myself, i got a lot planned for my future build ..

I just bought 8 of them. =] i figured if i ever get jacked im not losing much.
