  1. Hey... be my guest! Keep picking! Kinetik claimed their 16V to be 1050CA. A Cranking Amp test is an industry standard performance test that is fully verifiable. Do you want to know what the Independent Testing Laboratory found it to be? Would you believe 492A? Powermaster didn't claim it, they proved it in Federal Court. It's a public case btw, so feel free to waste more of your time digging up the results for yourself if you wish. So again... I urge you to please buy or borrow some of our products and prove to me that they do not do what we say they will.

I tried to find this court proof and I can't find it anywhere??? Where is this at?

I have also adjusted my enclosures day by day and for different conditions have gotten between +/-.3 db to 1.8 db differences on the same equipment.

How many Db could I gain going from a D2700 to a D3100 on a pair of kicker 2500.1's on a pair of dual 2 ohm 15's?

  2. Aside from the specific charging algorithim the 1005 uses to best charge our line of AGM batteries, it also has additional settings to properly charge flooded, gel and other types of AGM batteries including Optimas and many others. In addition to the three voltage level options, it can also charge in three different amperage modes for charger small, medium and large sized batteries or banks. The 1005 can also be paralleled together to charge large banks of batteries more quickly. Of course, it does all this for 16v batteries too ;)

Many other chargers have additional settings like 2 or more current settings and auto detect battery type or have specific settings as well for flooded, gel and agm. The three stage chargers I have seen all look to have a constant current, constant voltage and a float mode.
  3. The original Powermaster labeled batteries were PN 1000. Once XS Power began, there were no longer any "Powermaster" batteries available. All of the 12V models have always been XS Power branded, but people still refer to them as Powermaster, when they are actually XS Power batteries. Powermaster actually is not the parent company, but more like a sister company that caters to the racing crowd with racing alternators and starters. Eventually everyone will catch on and start refering to us as XS Power only :)

    So, to sum up:

PN 1000 - 16V - Not available anymore (old Powermaster product)

PN D1000 - 16V - Same as the old 1000, but with a couple of slight improvements. Has blue label, 46lbs, 2400 Max Amps, and 675CA

PN S1000 - 16V - Light weight version of the D1000. Has red label, 33lbs, 1650 Max Amps, and 500CA

For burps the S1000 is just as good a choice as the D1000, for daily driving, or bass race applications I would recommend the D1000. Both models are the same price, and are available through Mechman, or any authorized dealer.

    Hope this helps!

I am a noob so don't hit me for asking but how can the s1000 burp as good if it is 650-700 amps less than a d1000?
  4. You could always add a D680 to the back... it is tiny and can fit almost anywhere... it would be great for instant discharge power for your amps too. (much better than a cap). Or, you could just go with the D3100 as the main battery. Either way will work great!

I was told by 2 other companies that the battery that is closer to the amplifiers gets used more than the battery in the engine compartment. Wouldn't that hurt the smaller battery in back if I went with a d680? How do they come up with these names like 680? Odyssey has a pc680 and XS has a D680, is it about the size of the battery? If so does that make a D3100 bigger or more powerful than a PC2150?
