  1. Lol its not the RCA's dude. These HE goes bad after a while. Its a defect especially on Pioneers. It's not like I was the only one with this problem.

The solution is fixed. Its called a "ground loop" and its common. Even in home stereo installations.

Anyway my only concern right now is the amount of watts I'm getting because it clearly doesn't feel like 3500 watts. Will put a multimeter on each speaker to see what ohms they are at.

  2. FIxed the humming noise. Noticed it right away when i turned it on today and it sounded exactly like the engine of my car.

Put a speaker wire in the back of the HU into the RCA slot and it fixed it.

I rewired my subs and it still doesn't feel like 3500 watts. It feels exactly the same! I know because there isn't even any dimming in my headlights, looks identical to the HIfonics amp.

this is only a 130 alt thats been through 4 amps and lots of bass already....

I don't know what else to do at this point. Everything rattles but it all rattles the same as before. :|

  3. I had everything off and I even took out the fuse between the amp and batteries. After some research it looks like it might be my ground causing it. Its also a kenwood HU if that helps.

I was told when I bought them that they can only be wired down to 2ohm and I thought thats what ive been running them at.

I am using a prefab box, but already have a custom built box being built for me by DaveTheBoxGuy. Which will be here next month

I am on stock alt when I plan on upgrading to a 350 very soon.

Maybe I did wire my subs wrong. But how do I wire them in parallel to each other when there is a splice in the box that seperates them.

  4. I just went from a Hifonics BRX 2400 to a SAZ 3500D V2 Sundown amp.

Problem is, it sounds identical to the hifonics amp. I don't hear any difference from what I can tell. Its rather dissapointing since the hifonics was around $350 and the Sundown was almost $1,000.

I'm running my subs at 2ohms because they are both Dual 4 ohms.

Though the box I have isn't big or spacious for these subs at, I would have thought there would have been some difference in the quality at that.

On another note, I'm getting a constant "humming noise" through my subs even with the volume all the way down. I think its my rca cables and not the amp because I switched between amps and it was doing it on the hifonics as well.

Just seemed to crap out between the switch which is odd, since i was bumping an 1hr before the switch.

Maybe there is some mixed wiring somewhere, I'm not sure tbh.

    Thanks

  5. well, i hooked up my old amp to it and one sub came on. only because i connected one sub.

so i pulled it out of the box and the subs were connected still they diddnt vibrate off or anything.

so then i hooked the hifonics amp directly to the sub without the box and nothing came on.

after that i hooked up my kenwood amp directly to my sub and it came on.

    what now...

  6. well its ot the rca cables i took the headunit out and it says output and my cables are connected at output? i will till tomorrow morning when everything clears up its raining and shit so ill just hold off till tomorrow...

  7. alright im uploading them right now everything is preety crappy because well its a night and its hard to see lol.

the left is the input and the right is the output

On the left is the negative and the right is positive i have the left speaker with - and + and the right as well.

  8. ok the amp turns on and everthing its a hifonics amp 1508d. but the subs arent hitting.

i think i may have the rca connectors wrong but i dont know? i dont know how to connect them lol. so yea a little help here would be appreciated on getting my power to my subs.

its a d mono amp and i never had a d mono amp before so im confused with wireing the subs

  9. Oh shit what does this say....

    Subsonic

This setting acts as a low frequency cut off for your system bass reproduction. The point that you set it at cuts off any frequencies from reproduction beyond this point. The 12 o’clock

position is a great starting point. EXAMPLE: If you adjust the Subsonic to 25Hz, the amplifier will not play frequencies below 25Hz but will play frequencies from 25Hz to the chosen Low

    Pass frequency.

    Bass EQ:

This setting is a fixed bass boost at 45Hz that is variable from 0-12dB for the Txi7508 and 0-10dB for the TXi1008D and TXi1508D. This feature provides impact to your bass, but if not

adjusted correctly, it can be over used and cause damage to your subwoofers and amplifiers. It is best to slowly turn this setting clockwise until the desired punch is felt. It is not

recommended to exceed the 12 o’clock position unless listening at a low volume or a low recording quality as this can result in high distortion and possibly clipping.

    Low Pass:

The Low Pass control acts as a ceiling and doesn’t allow frequencies to the right of the desired setting to be reproduced. The 12 o’clock position is a great starting point. EXAMPLE: If you

adjust the Low Pass to 80Hz, the amplifier will not play frequencies above 80Hz but will play frequencies from 80Hz to the chosen Subsonic frequency.

    Phase( TXi1008D and TXi1508D only):

The variable Phase adjustment allows you to change the relative time that the waveform meets your ear. With standard subwoofer installations where the subwoofer is behind you, the

Phase should generally be at 0. When subwoofers or woofers are in the kick panels or door panels, the Phase adjustment is useful in delaying the timing of the wave meeting your ear by

adjusting the potentiometer to 180 degrees.

    Level Control Setup:

Ensure that the Level is turned completely to the left prior to turning the system on. Next you should insert a CD or cassette that you are familiar with to use as a reference, and turn the

head unit volume control to about 80% of its full setting. The system sound level will of course be very low, and the following procedures will help you to match the amplifier input

sensitivities properly to the head unit output signal level.

It is important to match the amplifier LEVEL input sensitivity to the Radio/CD output sensitivity. This can be located in the Radio/CD manual.

If the Radio/CD output sensitivity is 2 volts, then adjust the amplifier LEVEL input to 2 volts.

    If you

  10. ahh sundown i know those are even more beast. but arent they a little big? at least the ones ive seen lol. and im not looking to take up all that room in my jeep..

oh and lets not even begin with dat. those things are scary

  11. So yea, as some of you know i had trouble with my kenwood amp overheating like crazy. Luckily it still hitting and it works :). It works for like 45 min on a HOT day and it will turn off for 30 seconds and kick back on hitting with no problem, but this baby gets hot as hell like no tomorrow.

so i decided after 3 1/2 overheating months i finally ordered the Hifonics Titan Series TXI1508D. Yes the rms i believe are like 100 rms less but it sure kicks the hell out of my 175 rms to each speaker right now with my kenwood amp. lol. Its the class A series amp so powering 2 kenwood 12's isnt the best way to go for it lol. i just dont know if my speakers can handle the new amp i just placed about 5 min ago. lol.

so yea tell me what yall think about it cons/pros. ive always had my eyes on hifonics amps just because they look beast.

it was $187 at amazon and shipping was $29 so it came out to like $217.52 the same price on AudioSavings.com

so yea tell me what yall think if yall need more info on my setup just let me know i have a thread burried in here somewhere lol

  12. lol wow nice! yea that video i had it on my subscriptions and i pushed it to watch the video but i didnt watch it because at the same time i accedently hit some link on top that took me to my myspace so it was like a double click awww fck type thing lol

so yea i lost the video and i didnt feel like searching for it. so that preety much explains it why i missed it lol. every week i look up to watching a new video of the caddy or tahoe. One day i will meet him for sure. :)

but yea thanks for pointing that out for me. so adding this to my next cd. ill find somone to chop and screw it for me :)
