  1. My Thoughts EXACTLY

With that much volume why not go 18s?!?

    -Drew

I don't know. I've never been much of a fan for 18's. I've heard the Re XXX 18's. Two of them. My cousin had em. I was very impressed. But they don't get the high bass as well as I would have thought. I just want 15's for now. But when I get some more cash and a higher paying job. I just may have to go 18's. I'm thinking Audiopulse Lms Ultra 18's or Incriminator Warden 21 inch sub. Or two of the 18's.

  2. maybe because the 15s he wants to run dont need a smaller box to run the power he wants to run to them.

hell steves box was betlined for years (its not exactly expensive to do), does that discredit the money thats in his setup? hell if i was pouring 18k into a get loud setup my last worry would be about what my box is covered with, it wouldnt be rachet strapped in but i dont think id care much about coverings. Also sometimes no covering is better then a shitty looking covering

I don't have that box anymore anyways. I'll have to put up a pic of my new box. I'm still putting better bracing on the new one.

  3. are you willing to double the power? DC level 4 xl's with 1500w to each.

this question is asked almost every day, i wouldnt expect much responce. we are here to help but no one on here will do all the work for you. go do some research and make a list of 5 subs your interested in. post that list with more info on what you want out of the system, what kind of box your going to build, how much space you have, budget, etc. and more people will come in to help you pick from that list.

Incriminator Wardens, DC lvl 5's, Digital Designs 9500, or Audiopulse LMS All 15's only room for 2

  4. The front baffle is going to be last if built inside the vehicle. This allows you to build the box in the trunk, have it come thru then build of it with the wall inside the vehicle. If you have to use the L brackets or have friends hold and you screw pieces together. Then like you said fiberglass it all together as godo as you can. Really not hard. Just have ALOT of PATIENCE lol. Thats gonna be the hard part. Just sit there in the car and visualize what its going to look like building it

Only problem is with that is. I can't stand ridin around without a system. And this is gonna take some time. Time I ain't got because I just started a new job in the oilfield and got my own place.

  5. Thats so untrue!

You build the box just as if it was built outside of the car, but use L brackets to screw the wood together from the inside of the box.

Just make sure to glue all your joints..

    hahahah i said joints. mhmmmmmmm

you can also get some chop mat and resin, and resin the entire box, and by any chance you still think its not strong enough add enternal bracing.

Just by sittin and lookin yesterday I realized that's what I'm goin to have to do. Because the box I have for the 2 T2 15's right now was double plated all way around and I noticed a horrible rattle today. Looked and saw the the front baffle plate got annilated and the screws were tore out from the mdf. And it broke the joints where I used the gorilla wood glue

  6. i think you are getting a little ahead of yourself. If you haven't even figured out how to build the box yet the last question you should have is port tuning.

I plan on having the box built in 2 sections. First section is the trunk and the second is connecting the trunk box to a box where the back seat used to be. Get everything lined up just right and I'll be fine. Got a lot of cuttin to do to make some room for it. Plan on fiberglassin over everthing to reinforce it.

  7. I started with 2 t2 15's in the backseat. I really wanna go the route of 4 15's. Preferebly Rockford Fosgate T2's. I'm having a problem of how the box is goin to get put in the mustang. I was thinking of building one part seperately in the trunk and extend it through to the backseat and go from there. Well guys. Any suggestions of how I'm goin to pull this off.

  8. when every thing is tuned right i promise its louder

look at the ones about chris jones when he burped it he burped a 50hz tone and it tuned a 38hz did have the right track and look what he did a 154.8 or somthing when its all said in done it will be a 160 but what sucks with dd it take like 2months to fully break then in and when you do you gain like 5 db over time

Yea. that's how the T2's are. I got two for free cuz I blew the other two I had somehow. Probably from clipping.

  9. im not a big fan of memphis and there are to many people running fi blts but memphis for my vote but look in to digital designs they are great spl woofer and if done right they can be great sq too but that my 2 cents

Met a guy at a car show today. 2 Digital Designs 15's walled in a late model firebird. 10 cubic foot box 35 Hz port 4000 watt amp. I listened to it. He maxed it out. Then he listened to my system and said mine was louder. Reminder. I just got the 2 T2 15's. Amp halfway. Still breakin them in.
