Speaking of getting rid of something that works... I have a 360.2 for sale.
The point I was getting at was that in his case there is more than one way to approach the situation.... With either the 360s or the amps themselves.
I agree with you there. But how much are you selling that 360.2 for?

He wouldn't need the 360.2 for his application. He has master/ slave amps.... so he could do it without all the amps.
He already had 2 of the 360.2 processors in his vehicle before those amps were even designed. So why would you get rid of something that still works.

The RF 360 is a versitile piece of equipment. Links multiple amps for better gain control. Signal processor. Controls all eq's. 10 band sub equalizer. 6 channel high level inputs. Bottom line. It can clean up and balance any audio system.

I'd get a quad cab long bed chevy dually truck and just have at it with a blow through and slam the thing to the ground, double sided 5 percent tint... one off set of custom rims... subdown subs/amps... Mac setup, and my imagination just went bye bye...

why a nightshade over a kicker l7 if the same diameter? i am very new to car audio so please enlighten me. i thought cone area was priority
Two different subs may have the same cone area. But they will differ in Xmax (excursion), sub displacement, and exact cone area ( not including surround). But just because a sub has more xmax. Doesn't mean it's louder. It can be though. It will move a hella lot more air.

Is anyone with Internet Explorer having problems with the forum since the make over?
I used to use *** forum alot, then it started messing up. Always saying loading at the top of the screen, and recently taking about 5 mins to scroll down the page.
Then *** started its home audio forum.
It was good at first, but then I started getting glitches

down the
page.
and inbetween each post i had to scroll forever to get to the next one.
Now, it looks like since Steve and the *** forum are friendly again, the new site got turned into the *** forum format.
which I think sucks..for me. Is there anyone else having problems. I downloaded mozilla a little bit ago so i could read the forum. but i would rather have explorer working for me.
I used Google Chrome. It's better than internet explorer. I've never had any problems.

I've been looking into second skin. Good to see people lovin it. I was thinking about doing spl tiles over my entire car and then a coat or two of spectrum over that to seal the deal.

903 Longview. And for those wondering about mdf. Medium Density Fiberboard is made of majority glue. Inhalation is toxic. But only in large doses. I always just wear a mask when I'm cuttin wood.

what do you mean by interlock the 1st and the 2nd layer?
Say you made the 1st layer of the box where the baffle for the subs layed on top of the 4 corners. When you go around to putting a 2nd layer of mdf on. Make the 2nd .75 inches shorter on each side and raise the corners of the box. So the pattern overlays. Making it stronger.

Seriously bro. You jacked my idea. FUCK. Oh well. Mine is going into a mustang. 16kw per Warden 18. My set up may happen later than sooner. My hours got cut in half at work. And expenditures are frozen. I was supposed to be getting a raise. So hopefully by new years 2011 it will be in progress.

If you make the box oversize. Then you don't need as much power. If you make box too small. Over power. As far as bracing. Make it 2 layers thick all way around and interlock the 2nd layer over the first. I always glass the outside of my boxes. Extra strength.
