  1. so i think im going with these as dimensions, but the re site makes it into a gay wedge back seat box, which i don't REALLY want.

    H= 1' 8"

    W= 3' 2"

    Depth= 2' 9"

    How much cubic feet would this end up being, or how do i know how to change how much it is and what do i do to tune it? I'm a freaking noob as you could PROBABLY tell :/

  2. Can someone just give me some quick box dimensions for a single Fi BL 15, daily, p chamfer, flatwind coil.

    I have an 01 hyundai sonata and i want the box tuned around 33-35, as long as it turns out close to one of those 3 numbers idc really. I don't need any fancy design or anything, i would just like to know some dimensions that i need to cut out. Ported of course..

    If you need more info, i can post it just let me know. I don't feel like taking 3 weeks to make some elaborate box though, i just want something that works better than a prefab and is cheap.

  3. Im trying to take it off so i can replace my speakers, but the farthest i can get is unscrewing the four screws (2 top, 2 on right side) and then the door looks like it might come off but it's completely stuck still if that makes sense lol. also on the center part where there is the A/C and all that, im trying to get at my HU but i just pull it out and i have no idea how to get it completely off.

    It's a 2001 hyundai sonata:

    Help?

  4. drop it lower, then add a reserve for the absolute lowest you'll take. Seeing big numbers like that kinda scares away alot of people. And you are correct, most of the bidding happens in the last 24 hours, but if it's not up long enough for people to see, you won't have multiple bidders counting down the last hour trying to outbid each other. 5 days is a good length.

    what should i make the new price? I'm kind of scared to go too low for some reason, eventhough i probably should :/

  5. I dont meen to slam all the shop owners on here but when you paid 650 for "shit" equipment you where paying for the labor and installation not the products. If you piece your won stuff together and shop around you could have had a bomb ass system.

    yah so if you see my pm, dont reply, im retarded, and to your post, i know.

    EDIT: my shop took damn near 3 hours to install the stuff :/

  6. have you looked on your citys craigslist? sometimes they have decent stuff....... *i know im putting that out there... its a stretch* but you never know... and yeah toss some more cash in it, 600 could get you a decent setup, what did you have befor? if you dont mind me asking *i dont know if you posted it or not

    yah it's one of my 2 threads on here lol, i mean i didn't say that it included a cd player, installation and cd harnes kit plus wiring but STILL lol, read it, i feel retarded.

  7. IMa tell you something that was told to me and it was the best piece of advice Iv ever had. Save longer and buy quality equiptment rather than skimping yourself and settling for something on a "budget". When you buy cheap equipment it has a tendency to break and by time you replace that "budget" piece of equipment you could have bought you something nicer from the get go.

    Just my .02 that I wish I had learned when I first got into car audio.

    thing is i payed $612 for shit, im selling my subs and amp close to 400 if not that much, so im kinda trading i guess you could say.

  8. So i bought this system about half a year ago if even that, from my local dealer. This was back before i knew shit about subs at all as opposed to what i know now. I didn't know at the time, but my friend informed me that i WAY over payed for my shit. I bought 2 10" street edge subs with a box, and some 250w amp. I thought it hit pretty damn hard until he threw his diamond m6 in my trunk and we drove around for a bit. My shit doesn't hit AT ALL unless i turn the gain all the way up, which then causes clipping at higher volumes. The $612 included that stuff plus wiring, cd player, installation etc, which they did a nice job on i'm just pretty damn sure i could have gotten something much louder for that price. What i plan to do is sell my subs with the box and everything on ebay and the amp also for minimum $200, hopefully $250-300.

    My question is, for about as much as im selling my shit for, maybe a little more, what is the best sub and amp combination i could get? I prefer something that will be the envy of all my friends but i don't want to spend too much as i have already been fucked in the wallet once. I drive a 2001 hyundai sonata with everything stock, (i think the speakers are actually damn loud) and i got a new battery, but it's nothing special. I prefer a good setup that doesn't clip when i turn my volume to 25 or whatever, and an amp with a bass knob would be nice ;)

    I was thinking a kicker cvr 15" which i can get from my friend with a nice ported box already for $100 or off ebay without one. Amp, i don't really have any clue. Thanks for reading this all if you did, it might sound like a rant but im just a little pissed after finding all this out and realizing my shit sucks for um...600 bones :(

    BTW im new here obviously, hi!
