Put jb weld in end of finishing nail put inside of stem and let set over night then pull out , hey worth a try

Passive, you use the crossover supplied with most components they split the signal from on channel into two diff sets of fequencys using crossover high of tweeter and mid for midrange , Active crossovers you need an amp for each set of frequencys a amp for tweeters and a amp for mids , ( some 4 channel amps have 4 channel input ) make sence or have I made it worse ?

I have built plenty of boxes in the past but never for spl , how would I go about it with out a term lab or is it possible to do it , could I build box say at 6 cf build removable port use a small hand held db mic , and test then trim and repeat tell the #s don't get higher , always using same tone from deck at same low volume ? Would that work or is there a better or even a right way to do it with out term lab ?
