  1. The amp should have a left and right speaker output. Wire one speaker to each output. You will only get 140 to each sub, but the amp will be able to take it.

    If you have the speakers paralleled to 'BTL' on the amp, you are bridging it at two ohms, which it will not like. I did that once and it instantly went into protect if memory serves.

    And what the 1 refers to is how many channels are putting out that power. I.E. at 4 ohms you have 2 channels each producing 140 watts, whereas at 4 ohms bridged you have one channel producing 340.
