Could always go sixth order and get the best of both worlds.
-
I know, I got it the day after!
Actually that's when we got the stuff we returned: I had grabbed a rear subframe for the leaf spring, impacted it apart, pulled the spring out, then my dad took it back and told them we just wanted the spring and didn't have the tools to pull it out, and they told him they didn't charge for the spring so they refunded everything in credit. I was surprised.
-
I want one so bad, but I'll have to wait until they set some more W-bodies and hope one has a set.
-
Turns out I can't use the DIC or HUD unless I wanna hardwire them into the PCM; only ABS cars had the harnesses for them. Oh well.
I went today to look at some random stuff and found some Lexus ES fogs that I grabbed. They are projectors with a yellow filter on them. I think they look pretty awesome and am installing them now.
Unfortunately there were no spoilers nor any folding rear seats in good shape.
That leaves $39.97 in credit though, so keep the ideas comin'.

NO FUSES OR BREAKERS. fuck that shit. just make sure your shit is wired good.
While we're at it, use a cut-up extension cord as power wire and run it through your door jamb.
-
I guess so.
Might crunch some numbers and see if I could get the spoiler too, that was a popular choice on another forum.
-
That's what I was thinking, but my next box I'm planning on porting through the speaker holes in the rear deck (4th order) so I'm kinda on the fence there.
-
My dad gifted me with $68 and change in credit for our local Pick 'n' Pull. I am trying to decide what to buy with it. I have a huge list, but I am looking for people's advice. I was considering getting, with the prices (all prices are less tax and environmental fees, which I would like included in the credit):
-Folding rear seat $17.49/half
-OEM rear spoiler $24.99
-power mirrors $25.99 each
-driver info center and HUD (two rare options for my car, the DIC is like a trip computer, it shows your mileage, elapsed time, etc. and the HUD throws your speed onto the windscreen)(price unknown)
-Floor shifter assembly (?)
-?
What do you guys think? If I get enough posts I'll go tomorrow and get something and post pics when I install it.
EDIT: IIRC tax at their location is 7.25%; I'm not sure how the environment fees are calculated.
-
Not sure what you mean, think you could get pics maybe? Is it while the car's moving or while it's stationary? Does just the wheel move or is the whole axle moving? What make/model car?
-
I had a similar problem due to taillights that weren't sealing against the body properly. Check those seals and make sure the screws are tight too (in my case, a stud had broken loose inside the light so it couldn't be properly tightened; check that too)
-
Gave them a call and they said go for it; I guess you only send in the damaged part for warranty. Thanks guys! He has an account here IIRC so I'll hound him to post pics up when he finishes installing them tomorrow =P

I have the apexcone 55w 10k's and I love 'em. Those mufuggin ballasts are big tho, and mine didn't come with brackets to bolt 'em down. If that will be an issue, pay the extra coin for the slims.

Go to a parts store and have the code scanned.
-
Blown MOSFET's I think.
Means you need amp repair.

My friend and I ordered DDM HID's and they arrived Tuesday. He has a 9004 kit with the hi/lo setup. Problem is he needs to extend the power wire for the harness in order to have it reach the battery. Will this void the warranty do you think? I would contact DDM but we wouldn't hear from them until who knows when tomorrow, and we would like to knock this out first thing in the morning.
Tl;dr version: Will extending the power wire for the DDM hi/lo harness void the warranty?

No prob, I'm planning on doing something similar, except to lower my car and delete a failed rear spring (someone at GM thought it would be a good idea to use a PLASTIC MONOLEAF for the back spring in my car.) You could do that with some cheap coilover sleeves to fit said springs.
-
I bet if you did some searching you could find the specs of the rear springs, then go on Summit Racing or a similar site and order stiffer and/or longer springs. That would help.
-
That would work a lot better Beatbox.
I forgot most of you other guys can actually get bolt-in lowering kits and don't have to cobble shit together like us GM W-body guys...ugh.
-
I wouldn't risk it.
Look at summit racing, they have good coilover sleeves for cheap.

once i find a place i can wash it i plan on tinting my taillights. 2 questions do i sand the taillights with 1500 grit? and is there somethin to tint the headlights and wont make it look pinkish?
I've heard that Rustoleum lens tint doesn't have the red tint in it, it's just black. Never used it personally though, you'd have to ask Kasey (thehoe92)

This is why I unplugged my master window switch for 3 days after I did my back windows. I did the same damn thing before I unplugged it.
You'll be fine though.

Happy bday from another Wisconsinite!

When I applied deadener, I just cleaned with some glass cleaner and paper towels. Then again, I just had dust on my panels. I would recommend using degreaser or maybe rubbing alcohol to cut through any grease you might have on your panels or whatever. JUST MAKE SURE IT'S DRY! Don't ask me how I figured that out -.-

Gotta be a gold member I believe.
Might be a problem, what do you think?

IIRC that chrome plate is separate from the bumper. I'm planning a junkyard trip tomorrow; if I come across a Fleetwood there I'll look and see how it's attached. Could be a matter of unbolting it and putting somethign behind it, like some foam tape or bits of rubber or whatever, then bolting it back on.
...Or did you mean that whole quarter's makin noise?
