I haven't seen that, mostly because I don't have a meter like that. But LCD screens have a "refresh rate" too. If you watch one on a camera, they flicker or look like they are waving similar to a computer screen. It's almost like the bass effects the rate in which we see or our brains process picture.i see that in my car too. its fun to watch. -
i find when im sitting at an intersection peoples rims look funny went the notes change
Are the rims spinning or still?
-
I was driving home today on the highway from school and I was bumpin some Jeezy Hypnotize. I was driving sorta next to some Audi SUV with rim that had a lot of spokes. Normally, going at 70 mph, the spokes just blur and look solid, but I noticed on the different bass hits, the rims would look like that effect you see sometimes with camera's and their frame rate. It wasn't like they looked like they weren't moving, but you could see the spokes clearer for split seconds while the bass was playing. It looked different for each note in the song. Has anyone else noticed this?

Stop checking the websites for your car. You have to call and talk to someone. They can make the alt to fit your car.
That just sounds like it'll cost even more. I don't need the best alt. I just want something that will fit my car and perform better then stock for around $300. It's not like I have monster amps or anything either.
-
Yea, I have. They also don't have my year/model jeep on their site either. And like DC, that stuff is too expensive for me. It's $600 for a 250 amp alt for a newer style jeep GC. I don't want to spend that much. That's nearly how much my whole system cost...i say check mechman too -
DC Power ftw
I just briefly checked their site and I couldn't find my model jeep. Also, they seemed too expensive for me. I don't want to spend a whole lot. I'd like to stay at around $300 or less, max I'd go is $400 if it was worth it.

I sent him an email like ten minutes ago. We'll see what he has to say, but I want some other options as well. But thanks for that, at least it'll give me an idea of what I should expect as far as prices. Any other ideas?I got a 220amp alt from Iraggi Alt for $300 but he was running a special on them. Hit him up. -
I'm sure you're probably sick of these, but I have to post another. I'm looking to get a new HO alternator. I have the stock alt in my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ w/4.0L I6. I don't know how many amps it puts out, but it's not enough for me. As far as my amps, they are in my sig. If I replace the alt, I will also do the big 3. Now, I don't know what size alt I'll likely need. I also don't really know much about alternator brands, besides people around here use Iraggi and Mechman. I don't want to spend a whole lot on whatever I get. Please point me in the right direction!
I got a quote from Highoutputalternator.com saying they can get me a 200amp alt for $600. That seems like way too much to me. I'd want to spend like half that if I can. I also found a 150 amp alt from Quadratec for $200. It's just a generic brand as far as I know though, so that makes me weary. Plus I don't think it is much bigger then my stock alt, if at all...

I think if she was gettin off 300 times a day, she wouldn't be fat.

I love how the amplifier freq response is
10KHz -30 KHzAnd the sub is
30Hz to 4K Hz Frequency Response -
It sounds like old Beatles acapella tracks mixes with new instrumentals. Still cool.
-
If u want reggae that bumps, check some Steel Pulse or Ziggy Marley. I like Steel Pulse's album African Holocaust and Ziggy's Love is my Religion album.
-
only thing I'm worried about is the age. All the reviews of the sub are from like 95-99. And I've read a few about the amp dying. That's what worries me.
-
I was looking on craigslist at subs and found a definitive technology PF1500TL sub for $200. It's prolly like 5-10 years old (just guessing). The guy lives in my town, so i'm gonna try to go see it and hear it sometime this week. I looked up reviews and they all seem positive. It seems it was a $600-1000 sub new. It has RCA inputs and outputs. Now I'm assuming the output outputs whatever was input, but high-passed (it has a button for 50hz or 100hz). Now if I do that, I can run the RCA's into my speakers I currently have now and it should work out. I'm hoping that's how it works, otherwise I have no use for it. Does anyone have experience with this sub?
BTW, I'm using KRK Rokit 5 powered studio monitors on my computer, encase you were wondering how I could run RCA's straight into my speakers.

I think that "dust" was that chick's dandruff

i would love to go, and i personally went to check out the school but i dont have that kind of bucks!
besides you cant just get hired from any shop and get paid, i believe you need to be certified or something so then can hire you
Best Buy requires MECP certification I believe. I don't know how involved the test is to get certified. I do know study guide books are $30 for basic and $50 for advanced and the exams cost from $60-$125 depending on what certification you want. Has anyone here gotten that certification?

They say you are still contagious until your cough subsides. Commonly, it's thought that once your fever is gone, you aren't contagious anymore, but I've read they found that swine flu is still contagious until the cough is gone. My brothers didn't really have a cough though. They were just tired, sore, fever, and just overall uncomfortable.

The woofer is 8ohms and tweeter is 4 ohms. Does that matter much? I've never really understood how impedance works with two speakers and a crossover to get a final impedance. Maybe you could explain a little? Sorry to thread jack, it's sort of related...

Redneck canadian who does random shit with old cars.
My video is like 1 minute, 40 seconds long. You think they'll delete it for copyright?
-
there was a topic on this recently, GO FOR IT, but you won't earn much maybe 5$? in like a year lol i dunno something like that, don't expect to earn as much as daves farm does 10k$ on average a month for youtube alone ;P
Wow, dave's farm gets that much?! Thats crazy. I wasn't expecting to get much anyways, like maybe a few cents a month lol

I don't know if many of you have partnerships with youtube. One of my videos is at like 27,7xx views and I just got an email from youtube offering a partnership for the video, meaning I will get money from them for every ad on the page someone clicks. They made a big deal about not using copyrighted material in the videos, and now I'm wondering if my video will be rejected because I'm playing Lil wayne- Lollipop on my system in the video. I'm sure steve probably has a partnership going with youtube, and in near all his videos he's playing songs on his system. Only reason I'm leery to apply and possibly get rejected is because they said if it is rejected, then they will just delete the video. I don't want my video with nearly 28k views to be deleted because of this.
Do any of you have experience with this? Should I just try it and hope for the best? Also, how much do you make for each click? I can't imagine it's a whole lot at all...
BTW, here's the video if you're curious...

My two brothers had it recently. They have asthma too. They didn't feel good at all, but my mom took them to the doctor to get tamiflu. Supposed to make it shorter and less severe if u start taking it within 48 hrs of getting the flu. They got over it in like 3 days.

Definitely check out the chopped and screwed/slowed music. You can even slow music down yourself using audacity. I've taken songs that used to hit hard on my higher tuned box and slowed them so its better for my lower tuned box. Works well.

A friend gave me a 50ft roll of scosche 12 gauge speaker wire. I'm using that for my sub and door speakers. It works alright I guess. I can't imagine being able to tell much of a difference if I got better wire in my car. It rattles like a mofo, so trying to listen for such a small change would be near impossible at high volumes.
Weird bass trick?
