what is bandwidth, phase, and subsonics for, some songs hit reall good and some just dont i feel that i might have my amp set up wrong or something, and i dont know where to put these level at??? shit i dont even know what they are for?? Help Anyone???

I Just got 2 jl w7 13.5 subs and i need some help on which amp to get!

yea its not 45. im guessing the angle (using the strait side and angled side as the angle) is like 120? its hard to tell tho with the angle of the pic. so yea i'd guess the side baffles angle back 30
would i cut both pieces of wood at 30 or just the front baffle...bc 2 30 degree angles makes 90

i dont think 45 b cus 2 45's make a 90
but if you do just the middle 45 and the other 2 regular doesnt that make 45?

you can always just use a Protractor and a piece of cardboard to make a template of the bottom of the box to start off with
yeah i was thinking about that. it looks like the fronts that hold the subs are at 45 degree angle and the middle chambers look somewhere between 90 and 45 lol maybe like 70

Soooo i built my boxes for my 13.5" subs and i dont like the way it turned out... =( i tried to do 3 seperate sealed boxes so it could fit easier in my trunk but it still fits like shit...so i have decided to restart the build and go with the design with the pics above with the 3 13.5's. it looks like some angles have to be done on the front box and i was wondering if anyone knew which degree angle the front was and the chambers look at an angle too...so if anyone has any input or comments please tell me :hairtrick: thanks in advance!!!

How much do we have to spend? Also did you check out Stetsom's April Sale here on SMD....... You will find some of the best amps around for a damn good price

i have 3 jl audio 13.5" w3v3 and i just trying to get some ideas on a good quality amp thats pushes out alot of power to push them and is a good amp over all. any ideas are welcome!!!!!!!!!!!

separate chambers too, i had two audiopulse axis's in a common chamber sealed box, i couldnt even turn it up without wierd sounds. then my amp went in to protect??? So i made separate chambers and it sounds great now
yah they are in 3 seperate chambers all to jl specs

go with the 3 in a sealed box man. thats my set up right now but with 3 kickers. it saves time and wood to go sealed. and it will hit the lows.

there really isnt that much cancellation with low notes.
ive and subs facing each other and it was still loud
do you think 2 facing forward and 1 up would cancel anything?

Ive always ran JL subs, my new ones are the first out of the Brand, and i always put em in Sealed enclosures. But i also had a set up worth talking about since the first version of the w-1 came out..lol

Please don't run two separate boxes with the subs firing in different directions. That's just asking for cancellation.

i would go around 3.5 or so cubes for all three subs

No your not just a simple mistake. But anyways I would go sealed with all three subs.

yea i had 4 jl w3 tens at one time then later on i had a pair of 12'' w6

Because .75" on top and bottom would equal 1.5" so 16" - 1.5" = 14.5. But anyways i agree with troy on both "JL's sound better sealed and that it would be eaiser to build".

yea i think a sealed box sounds clean. especially with the jl. imo they are a sound quality sub more than anything else.
have you had jl?

yea. a sealed box plays pretty much everything. and is easier to deal with.
i might do it. i have to do a little research though

it says that the amp puts out 3200 peak at 4 ohms...but mine are dual 1.5 ohm and wire down to below 1 ohm
will it push out that power????
what are yours wired at??
