  5. ok so im doing a box for 2 13.5 inch jl w3s....and my box is 34 inches wide 16 tall and 16 deep...and the port i want to build is 3" wide and 16 tall....and i was planning the port to be in the middle and go back like a "T". what length should it be???? should i just have it be 3" all the way to the back of the box???? im a newb at port tuning and need help!!!! i want to hit pretty good lows so any suggestions are welcome!!! thanks in advance :hairtrick:
  6. not available hah but im trying to find someone else with jl w3 to ask them questions :hairtrick: are yours ported or sealed??????
  7. 13.5???
  8. well i had a box that was ported for 2 of them and it was 37 wide 18 tall and 18 deep and i had to squeeze it in! it barely fit!!! i was thinking about going 2 seperate boxes. one box would have 2 of them facing regular and the other box behind it would have one facing up towards my trunk. so it kind of looks like a upside down "T".
  9. do you have any vid of them?
  10. yeah i used to have them in a ported box that was close to spec and it sounded good. but i just bought another 13.5 so now i have 3 and im trying to fit them in my trunk. if i go sealed i could do the exact jl specs. im still not sure are yours loud in the sealed????????
  11. So what do you think i should do??? The sealed box thats at the exact subwoofer specs with polyfill or A ported box thats a couple inches shorter than what the subwoofer specs call for
  12. yeah it just seems like the speaker is a little too close to the port wall. i was going to put polyfill in the ported box bc it was too small but i heard that it doesnt help in ported boxes?
  13. Im in a tough situation!! i have jl audio w3 13.5's and im trying to fit them in my chevy malibu trunk. would it be better to make the box sealed and put polyfill in it or build it ported but make it shorter than the subwoofers specs call for????? i have a feeling if i port it, it wont sound good because the box is too small! any suggestions are helpful!!!!!!!!
