Im not sure why it isnt working for me either!! He JUST had the thing on before he "bricked" it!!!
-
try to turn it off, then hook it up to itunes and wait for it to load. Sound's like you have iphone 3Gs.
Im trying to turn it off but it just sits on the darn logo!! I googled "iphone stuck on logo" and it seems ALOT of people goes thru this same thing but noone has a cure!! Is it just a paperweight now?
-

Dont mean to thread jack, but where is the grounding points in that little diagram? It Just seems like the grounds are going from battery to battery then to amps? Shouldnt you ground them babies to metal somewhere?
-
Thanks man! So far, we can tell he has his momma's lips- which is good- because I don't really have lips. hehe. Time will tell who he will be. He definately has my eyes though.
Congrats to you on your daughter!
That SONY is pretty nice- I'm pretty much down between the SONY and the KENWOOD. I must stew. And tend my progeny!
Aw Thanks my man! Yeah they so adorable until they hit the "Terrible Twos" Thats wen u start pullin your hair out!! lol..Cuz they be into EVERYTHING!!! Good luck!! But youre goin to love it! Especially wen they say Daddy for their first words!! ( Sorry mom!!)

I dunno- I really like that KENWOOD. lol It has time alignment!!! More stuff to make my brain go
Yeah, thats the one im talking about!! Thats the SAME Sony I have!! It looks sweeter in person and its ALOT cheaper at Sonix! But if youve got that gift card Id recommend that Sony!!
-
AWWWWWWW! Congratulations!! I jus had a daughter myself!! Yeah, check that Sony out! At least the model i told you about! I have NEVER had a problem with it and she has alot of features and sounds really nice!!
-
What about Sony? I have a CDX-GT740UI and that thing is beatiful! It has 3 sets of 4volt pre-outs, sub-level control, flip down face which the face actually looks sexy!, has a nice crossover, u can change the display from red to blue or to green, it has a front usb and aux but it doesnt take away the sexiness of it! IMO, I think overall its a nice deck which isnt expensive at all!!!!

built mine outside the vehicle in a few days.
this is my 3rd wlal in this truck ... but ive built say 5 or 6.
Mike singer is around cleveland ...
Mike Singer? I need to get in touch with him ASAP!! I been looking at these forums and the wall builds..They look really intimidating thats for sure! Dont know if i could handle this alone! I got one guy but he's an RN with a family so time he doesnt have on hand that much!! My dad has a garage with every tool u can imagine which I have all access to but it just seems like a lot to take on but I know this is what i really want to do! Jus need to put ALOT of hours in at work to start getting my equipment, especially since its about to be winter time. That way I can stack up on what I need then, BAM!! Start in the spring!! Any input on that scenario?
-
I really appreciate all the insight fellas! Its just wood so if i screw up, i can easily cut some more!! LOL..But one more question, I know port size is key and someone said just build a box, seal it off and bam!! But what if im building inside the car? How do you figure out the correct port size? Thats alot of space back there!!
-
If you are doing this to a daily driver that you need everyday, I would do it in steps that you can complete in a day at a time so you don't tie the vehicle up to where you can't drive it if needed. But it is better if you have a second vehicle cuz then you won't rush on it so much. I had two other car sittin in my driveway when I did mine on my 01 sierra and it took 3 weeks to complete it.
If its the one in your sig then that's awesome!! Plus you probably got WAY more experience than I do!! Yeah, its goin in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Havent decided on subs yet but thinking 2-Audioque HDC3 18's..And I have a second lil smug I got as a work car That I use..
-
It is a bitch, plain and simple, if you want it to look right and be sealed tight(which is better) it takes alot of time and patience. It isn't something you can throw together overnight.
Yeah, I figured that! I WOULD'NT be throwin it together I'll tell you that!! I would be taking my time on this, not in no way of a rush!! So to do something like this should be in a project and not a daily is what you're saying?
-
Sounds interesting, so if its just a box, how do you keep the thing from falling over? (dont mean to sound stupid but im serious) All the walls or threads I see on here, they all look like they're built into the car/truck
-
How hard is it to do a wall? And how do you know how much port and proper air space you are going to need? Unlike a box, which is easier...Been thinking about doin a wall for a long time its just I dont know anything about doing a wall or know any reputable people around Cleveland, Ohio to do it right or atleast help me!! Audio Shops?...NO THANKS!!! lol..

Maybe 2 dc level 4s on a used sundown 2000d or an audioque aq2200d
Yeah i was browsing thru the 4sale section and seen some good amps but i dont wanna spend 1500 on jus 2 subs and an amp! Its got to include wood, glue more wire, braces and so forth. Im jus trying to get a good idea from all u guys. Dont wanna invest a shit load of cash! Still got kids and bills!!lol.. Oh, by the way, love the beemer! Thats similar to what i wanna do to my 318!!
-
Cool! you will probably be able to get some great subs and amp/s for 1500 then. What brand/model would you be interested in for subs/amps?
Thats jus the thing, wasnt trying to go too overboard. Thats why I was looking at the SDC2.5 15's. Maybe some DC's or something in that type or range
-
Well, I already have a front stage from my old car and thts 4-6.5s and 4 pioneer tweeters so far!, I got plenty of 1/0 and I can get a few more things like some 4inch mids and tweets in the A pillars. I jus need subs, wood, a good amp for the subs and some batts..
-
2 15"s is fine. As long as you can get about 4 cubes after displacement. I don't know about using SDCs, aren't they relitivly low power subs? Not saying a wall has to use super powerful subs, but generally they do.
Yeah they are, but I dnt have cash flowing out my ears and I definately aint trying to spend my life savings on a system either!! But I do want to do sumthing I never done before and a wall fits right in!! Thats why I said 2 SDC 15's! If not, whats the next best thing? I could probably save up about 1500 bucks, could I build a nice wall within that budget? And thts subs, amps, wires, batts and so forth.
-
Hmmmm, didnt think of it that way. But still, as I look at some the build logs, they actually are building the wall inside the car too and them things look hella huge!! And not to mention the ports! They almost as big as the damn wall!! If I use just 2-15's, would that be sufficient enuff for a wall in my car?
-
Im really thinking of doin sumthin different THIS time. My question is, when doin a wall, how do you determin port size? Since a wall is so much bigger than a box!! Im thinking of walling off my new toy, a 1993 BMW 318is for my next project and was looking at 2 Audioque SDC2.5 15's. Would it be worth it?
