  1. thanks for the comments!

Ok this is the reasons/excuses for the mess.

The reason i put both amps ontop was becasue thats the only way i could get both in after the box. i built a rack, but belive me i've just stuck them in there by cm's. the rack dont fit. im trying not to make the box smaller as i need it as big as i can get, so i put bubble wrap (lmao) between the amps and it seems ok.

Thanks for the advice about the wiring but after xmas, during jan im going do the whole thing re-done. going to put amps on a rack on the other side, make the box slegded so hopefully i can get it all in! :D

It used to cut out with my old battery, i just brought a standard battery new one and its all ok on stock alt and standard battery. i guess the stock battery couldnt handle it. but this new batt is ok.

    Amps are JBL GTO1201.1

  2. maybe it was down to the box, becuse i was getting a universal sealed box for like £25 and sticking a l7 in there, i mean no diementions etc considered and again it was my JBL 1201.1 Amp that fried it, i guess the settings were bad and very distored as i had a sony headunit.

on the amp i had gains max, cross over more than half way and bass boost full, and once the stereo was hitting 30  /max was 42 the sound was distorted.

anyways i now know better  :D

  3. i've posted pictures of the current setup in member builds im thinking of putting aero ports for now untill jan i posted in Enclosures menu.

    2x JBL 1201.1 amps £230 each    =    460

    2X Vibe space 15" subs  £200 each=   400

    2 4 gauge wiring kit     £40 each  =    80

Just the Wiring and subs/amps cost = £940

thats $1,845.10 USD today according to www.xe.com according to todays excahnge rate. plus i've spent much more on building 3 enclosures etc etc power cap.

anyways point is now that i have the equipment its time i spent a little more time and make it/try to make it sound a little better  :^

  4. 1500 is still a bit much for a L5 get a L7

i think it is a L7 lol, but i mean i had a kicker l7 before there loud and nice but i fried mine in a month. Sealed box, 1200 rms mine was and after about 30 mins of constant loud bass mine fried :o

  5. now i've decided that i need ports in the box :D

But i have no clue. lol

The box is sealed at the moment and both subs are in 1 chamber (basically 1 box no divisions).

i want to put aero ports in it but i dont know whether to use 1 X" or two 3" ports also i dont know the length they should be, could some one plz help? i dont even know the cf" of my box lol.

I have 2 15" subs which are 3600 peak each 1200 Rms, and im using full power on these.

the box diementions are 34" lengh   17" high and 17" to the back/wide and its box no curves.

here is the site for sub specs if needed, i dunno, but i want it to be loud. but i also like my lows so what tuning would you recomend?

  6. haha, that would have been funny shit on vid, of her kicking your ass.

You dont have this vid hiding anywhere do you?

Nope i have no video but i could take one, she always falls for it. But the tune i like to use is one from a Bass CD, start really low with just a melody then about 10 secs later and an off beat where your not expecting it bang it comes in with lows and then highs :D

Could post up if ppl want. :D

  7. LoL its good someone touched up on this, i had many enclosures all sealed and i realized with this last one that when the sub on the left hits hard the one on the right kinda goes out of phase and it looks out of control, i think this is kind making a loss in sound, although im really pissed at the moment cos today someone had 2 15" subs and there 3600 watts in tottal probly about 1200RMS and it was pretty Loud, mine are Vibe Space hitting 3600 each 7200 but his seemed to be louder than mine, he had a factory brand enclosure with 2 ports i think 3" each.

i think i better start building my ported box.
