  1. yep yep, alright I see what u guys are saying, so I really should tell the guys to make the box as big as possible that can fit in the trunk, plus the port will be facing inside the car, so plenty of air flow will get in.
  2. hey guys, little update, went down to get a qoute on a box since the cardboard one I made cudnt even fit thru the door haha, so they guys said the box doesnt have to be that big, and it has to be tuned to around 40hz, I was like umm ok,, so they will make the box for around $500au,,, what u guys think?
  3. hmm good point and I was wondering about that too, I think ill be able to fit it in by taking out the back seats and some plastic covers then sliding it in. so everyone else cool with OldsBoomer's box measurements??
  4. lol dude, u legend thanks m8, umm I have my back seats down so plenty of air will get in if the port is facing the front of the car

  6. hey guys just got a qoute on a battery from battery world, what you think. Optima D3JYT Yellow Top the guy says i should replace my main battery and just put this in, no need for 2nd battery,, what u guys think? also if you think i should get a 2nd battery instead, what type?.
  7. thanks m8, yeh i knew something was fishy about that, im going to get some qoutes on a battery today from batteryworld, but before i do, what do you guys think is a good battery, once again these are my amps. AQ2200D (arriving next week) this will power my FI 18" btl and will be running of the 2nd battery. JL G4500 500W for my mids n highs, running of 1st battery currently.
  8. ok now im confused and worried lol, i dont want my car to blow up haha, so what is the best safest way?
  9. Hey guys, sorry but me again, I just got too many questions,, When im going to install the 2nd battery so my amps have more power is it a costly measure or is it just a measure of buying the 2nd battery and hooking it up proper?. If someone has like a detailed instruction on how to do it, that would be great,, kinda a noob to this. thanks, Also I found this, and it looks like the proper way, but better run it by the pros, thanks http://www.freeinfosociety.com/article.php?id=2 Thanks guys, again UPDATE thanks guys for the help, on another matter, i went down to jbhifi (audio shop) and asked him if i needed an capacitor,, now he says i need one, but i made a thread earlier, and everyone said i dont,, so im confused.... ill be running 4000w in my car...

  13. Hey guys! I'm installing a pretty complicated system in my 2006 Mazda 3 sedan, but may not be that complicated for you. Ok so heres the deal, im in the middle of installing new speakers and amp into the car, but to do so i have to install a processor first so i can run both amps of it, and will improve my overall sound quality since i have the stock headunit still. This is what i have, JL G-4500 4channel amp 500w (for fronts) (new) JL C5-650 speakers (new) Re Q5 5-channel volume sensing bass restoration device (processor) (new) Pioneer 800w amp (for subs) (old) 2x JL 150w rms subs (old) k, so i have removed the door panels, my head unit and carpeting, then hooked up the G-4500 amp to the battery, grounding and remote, the amp works fine so then i got puzzled, the instructions show the the speakers need to be hooked up to this little box (forgot name) aswell as the tweeters, then the connections go from that to the amp, so how do they actually work? I found out that i need to connect them to the processor, but that wont need the work of that little box, mann this is so confusing, someone please help me, ^^ Car door panel off ^^ Stock head unit out ^^ Processor ^^ Processor with its wiring ^^ Close up of processor ^^ Just did a practice setup to see if it would work, tape is just temp ^^ Tape is temp to hold in wires ^^ Amp with power cable, ground and remote all connected, amp runs ^^ So im not sure if i need to use this thing with the processor, or at all, of if i do, im just so bluddy confused, please help guys
