yeh im gonna suggest Audioque, they are great!

Not sure how much more flexibility you would need.
Compared to 1/0 wire.
oh man thats thick!
thats what she said last night
-
happy birthday, thats all the input i have
-
its not reading any volts because the LPF is on 20hz. thats your problem. put it at about 11 o-clock position, which would let the amp output everything 80hz and down. put the subsonic at about 1 o-clock also.
tune your gains after those changes and it should work. im 99% sure this is the problem. if not, then its something else
KRANNY I ****ING LOVE U OMFG OMFG OMFG, U MADE IT WORK
exuse all caps and me going crazy, BUT THE SUB IS MOVING, omg kranny, i love u man, and thanks to everyone else for helping

kk thanks, but i think u confused ureself, 11o clock for LPF and 1o clock for subsonic?

where is your amp grounded out to i didnt have a good enough grounding point on mine and it wouldent turn on as well. also in your power and ground terminals make sure there is NO wire exposed even one little strand laying over the from the wrong terminal can either send your amp into protect or blow it compleatly
the amp is grounded pretty close to the amp and to the cars chassy, i removed the remote bass and heard popping from the sub....
-
why are all the knobs in the same position?
i dunno where they shud be, besides the gain, BUT ITS NOT READING ANY AC VOLTS WHILE PLAYING MUSIC, gah so angry
-
i just tried the tuning of the gain on the amp, set the dmm to ac volts and ran the test tone 50hz, and the dmm rea 0.00 the whole time.... gah whats going on
-
Is your RCAs plugged in?
yes... lol
-
take a pic of your gain setting. I'm going to guess gain is down all the way.
here, and no i havent set anything up, all i know how to set is the gain with the dmm but havent done that yet.
-
ok i tried the voltage with the dmm, got 0.14v
-
if you have a dmm then check to make sure the amp has output.
what do i set the dmm to?
-
do you have a DMM ?
yes, ok hold on im uploading pics of my wiring!
-
Is your amp powering on?
yes amp is powering on
-
not even gonna bother reading this. wire it like this, end of story
thats how i did it, but it isnt working
-
i still cant get it working, this is the method im using
Connect a piece of speaker wire between the "+" terminal of the amplifier and the "+" terminal of the first set of speaker terminals. Connect a piece of speaker wire between the "+" terminal of the first set of speaker terminals and the "+" terminal of the second set of speaker terminals.
Connect a piece of speaker wire between the "-" terminal of the amplifier and the "-" terminal of the first set of speaker terminals. Connect a piece of speaker wire between the "-" terminal of the first set of speaker terminals and the "-" terminal of the second set of speaker terminals.
-
that is correct .
ok ill try that tomorow then, 2am here..
but on the HU part, i have a stock hu, but using an req hu substitute here it is
it has alot of bass filters

are your gains set? on the h/u and amp
ok im gonna look so stupid here lol, i just wanted to test it quickly before i set the gains properly with the multimetre..
-
it either wires 1 ohm or 4 ohm dual 2 cannot be wired to 2 ohm.
how ever connect all + and all negatives together and plug that way.
if you have by accident plugged a - and a + together the sub will not play and is shorting out!
yeah sorry thats what i meant, the sub is 2ohm but wired to 1ohm
so your way is that on both the coils, + and - are wired down into the amp + and - but only using 1 of the + and - on the amp..... yeah i fail at describing things lol
-
is it a dual 2 or dual 1 ohm sub ?
i said its dual 2ohm
-
hey guys
got my btl today and wired it up to my amp to see if it works so wired it at 2ohm + to + and - to - on the other side the + on sub to + on other side and - to - on other side....
well, like this lol
http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=1&I=22
and it doesnt work....
amp is aq2200d
sub is 18" btl d2ohm
thankyouu

ahh i get ya, so it has to be at the certain fz to do damage, like at spl contests where they do quick burbs of the bass.. ok cool thanks man
-
hey guys, i was researching decibles and seeing what they actually compare too
and i really didnt know exactly how loud my new system would be (18" btl)
so i checked out some comparisons and found this
and this got me thinking, can these numbers hurt your hearing, you guys
have been doing this way longer than me, and meade seems to be doing
ok so just wondering, can it really damage your ears?
