  1. no you dont have to use 1/0 gauge but if you are going to do it you should only do it once if you use less now and upgrade later you might want to upgrade the wire again.. I mean I would atleast use 2 gauge if you are not going to go with 0

Like he said if your not planning on running like 1.5K+ then 4 gauge would be acceptable but if your going to exceed that wattage then I'd use 1/0 so you won't have to worry about it later down the road.

  2. just got it all put in.

good thing i don't have work tomorrow, i can play around all day! lol.

but i'ma be working my ass off lately i need to get a nice HU and want to get my new subs amp.

but for now i got the big 3 done.

got enough 1/o extra for the ground. just will need to get more for the power wire when i upgrade.

    Here is a question tho.

i have a cap right now. because it would dim a little bit.

now it probably wont at all right? since i got the big 3 right?

i'ma need to add another battery for the future. so i could just wire the battery basically the same as the cap in the back of my cab right?

It depends, upgrading your wires will allow more current to flow through them instead of forcing alot of current through a small wire (stock wires).

But it depends on whether or not your alt can keep charging your cap or if it is another thing draining your battery.

I'd say the big 3 should help with the dimming.
